CFN – The skeletal remains lay in testimony to the once vibrant flora village that stood in this place.  In the distance, the robins chirped their evening prayer of thanks for all that sustained them on this bright, sunny day…especially the tall ones that remained.

Sadly, a sight we are seeing far too often in Eastern Ontario these days. These are communities that we are extinguishing.

  2. I would give this photo 8 stars (out of 10) for the photography. It is well shot, but probably because of it’s somber subject doesn’t “grab” me enough to rate 10. That said, I give it 10+ for subject matter and message. The loss of our forests and natural habitats is tragic. Thank you, Jacqueline, for posting this.

  3. Thanks for taking the time to review and comment Judy, much appreciated.

  4. Tiled farmland is selling for up to $17,000/acre because there are too many {MODERATED}cultures who can’t keep it in their pants. Commodity prices leaning towards an all-time high again. Take your {MODERATED} and wake-up. The robins move to town.

@Wow…….Thank you for taking the time to comment. Thoughts of lining ones pocket with $$$’s without thinking of the consequences this will have on the health and welfare of our habitats and natural resources is in my mind…self-mutilation. I can see the writing on the wall quite clearly even written on the interior walls of my gluteous maximus.
