ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Crystal Brunet-Eldridge, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on May 16th, 2013. It is alleged that on May 16th, 2013 she got into an altercation with a 32-year-old known female outside her residence when she assaulted her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Assault and released to appear in court on June 25th, 2013.

 

THEFT & BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 12-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on May 16th, 2013. The youth was bound by two Undertakings with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on May 16th, 2013 the youth attended a Water Street store and removed property without making any attempts to pay for items. The youth was detained by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division. The youth was charged with 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Theft under $5000. The youth was held in custody until court later that day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

 

            Cornwall, ON- Nathan MacMillan, 18 of Cornwall was arrested on May 17th, 2013. It is alleged that he got into an altercation with a 44-year-old man known to him when he struck him with a skateboard. The victim suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Assault with a Weapon and released to appear in court on June 6th, 2013.

 

BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- Peter Laxton, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on May 17th, 2013. He was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was also bound by a Probation Order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and abstain from consuming and possessing alcohol (including “non alcoholic” beers) or any other intoxicating substance. He was also bound by an Undertaking with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to abstain from the purchase, possession and consumption of alcohol and abide by a curfew, be in your place of residence between the hours of 10:00 pm and 6:00 am. It is alleged that on May 17th, 2013 shortly prior to 3:00 am, he was found by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division to be away from his residence and under the influence of alcohol. Further investigation revealed that on May 10th, 2013 he failed to attend for fingerprints. He was charged with 3 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking, 2 counts of Breach of Probation and Fail to attend for fingerprints. He was held in custody until later that day.

CRIMINAL HARRASSMENT AND BREACH PROBATION   Cornwall, ON-  Julie Voltolina age 26 of St Andrews, Ontario was arrested on May 14, 2013.  She is bound by a Probation Order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.  It is alleged that between March 10, 2013 and May 13, 2013, she repeatedly communicated with her 30 year old ex-boyfriend, causing him to fear for his safety.  She was charged with Criminal Harrassment and Breach Probation.  She was released to appear in court on June 18, 2013.

ASSAULT AND BREACH PROBATION   Cornwall, ON-  Jamie Garlow age 20 of Cornwall was arrested on May 14, 2013.  He is boung by a Probation Order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.  It is alleged that on May 14, 2013, he was attempting to break into motor vehicles on Pitt Street when a 39 year old female and a 23 year old male tried to stop him.  He threatened them with bodily harm and assaulted the female.  Police were contacted and arrested him at 340 Pitt Street where he resisted being taken into custody.  He was charged with Assault, Threats x 2, Resist Arrest, Attempt Theft and Breach Probation.  He was held for a Bail Hearing on May 15, 2013.

THEFT UNDER $5000 AND BREACH RECOGNIZANCE   Cornwall, ON-  Ashley King age 30 of Cornwall was arrested on May 14, 2013.  She is bound by a Recognizance with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.  It is alleged that on May 5, 2013, she attended a Belmont Street and removed a sum of cash from a 55 year old male’s residence.  Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted.  She was charged with Theft Under and Breach Recognizance.  She was released to appear in court on June 20, 2013.

DRUGS AND BREACH PROBATION   Cornwall, ON-  Christopher Heisler age 22 of Cornwall was arrested on May 14, 2013.  He is bound by a Probation Order with the relevant conditions of no contact with anyone known to you to have a criminal record except family members, keep the peace and be of good behaviour and abstain from the possession of controlled substances.  It is alleged that on May 14, 2013, he was breaching his probation conditions.  Police attended his residence and conducted an investigation.  He was found to be in possession of a substance believed to be Methamphetamine.  He was charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance and Breach Probation x 3.  He was held for a Bail Hearing on May 15, 2013.

Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [STORMONT DUNDAS and GLENGARRY] Domestic Incident 2013-05-17

(South Glengarry) – On 16May13, at approximately 9:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Military Road, South Glengarry Township.

The investigation revealed that a female and her 45yr old boyfriend were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female.

The male (from Montreal, QC) was arrested and faces charges of:

– Fail to Comply – Undertaking Before Officer in Charge
– Possession Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana
– Assault

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
