  1. @ Richard

FYI: The government is NOT forcing Canadians to speak/read high level A- grade Mohawk to work for the government or hospitals, etc…Just sayin!!!!

  2. Eric,
we have no french university. Re read your link. It doesn’t say we have 9 universities. So you’re saying pay for it. Should we ask natives to pay for their governement services ? Should we ask the elderly to pay for elevators and ramps in public institutions ? Should all our public institutions be funded by the majority that utilizes them ? I disagree. I also disagree about the numbers for a university. There are enough francophones to start up a french university.

    – and cory, in your previous post, Pierre said that they do get services and funding. More then the 2.4 for bilingualism.

  3. @ trembly

As an anglo Canadian I want to wipe out all that is anti-English and anti freedom.

Seems to me that quebec embodies all of the above.

BYW, by wipe out, I mean have them gone from Canada, not through arms or violence, that is the way of the way quebec zealots, but by referendum either by quebec or Canada, it doesn’t matter to me, so long as they go.

Then the rest of Canada, can chuck a blingualism that was never wanted, accepted or needed

  4. CC2,
Nor is the government forcing anyone to be bilingual.

  5. Richard tremblay June 25, 2013 at 7:19 pm

” – and cory, in your previous post, Pierre said that they do get services and funding. More then the 2.4 for bilingualism”

Richard are you saying natives get 2.4 billion for bilingualism?

Richard tell Mohawkwoman why you believe that her and other native languages do not deserve the same legislated protection as French!

” There are enough francophones to start up a french university. ”

But Ottawa university is already a “French first” university or
would you rather a state sanctioned segregated university?

  6. Montreal Bilingue…..merci. Je ne savais pas que vous aviez un site sur FB. C’est interessant.

Bilingual Montreal just to give you a heads up, the g, galganov, had no choice but to leave Quebec. Your FB site is quite interesting. Keep up the great work!!! Good-luck to you and yours this coming week-end.

Well peter, I hate to burst your bubble, this country will remain bilingual.

  7. That link you’ll click? That posted information struck your fancy enough to be worth your time?

As Cindy Lauper says, I can see your true colours shining through…..

  8. Richard, I checked the link and reported what it said – nine French-language and bilingual schools offering university programs – do you mean the government is providing misleading information?

Projections of a school age population in Ontario are decreasing, except around Toronto where less francophone immigration is happening. So maybe, just maybe, there enough francophones to start up a university, but it will be anywhere near cost effective in a few years?

How can anyone who reads a few papers and follows politics not see the government is forcing bilingualism. Job ads, direct and non direct funding to francophone associations and a continuous flurry of laws, bylaws, policies, concurrent roadmaps, court challenges, and well, you get the message.

I thought you said it was non of our business what happens in Quebec Stella!what suddenly a change of heart ?

Oh Stella the country is not bilingual but has two official languages ,
12% of the population bilingual does not justify calling all of Canada bilingual.

By the way there is near 20% bilingual people in Canada ,but that is not recognized because its not French bilingual.
Because there is so much emphasis on French in government (65%)all other languages are well under utilized and those individuals must undergo Social engineering (learning French )to attain gainful employment this is called assimilation.
Therefore ASSIMILATION the same assimilation Quebec states is why they must implement bill 101 and bill 14.

Protecting a language if you ask immigrants starts at home .

French is the only language that requires legislative protection because of their profound weakness to pass their culture and language to their own.
But now ALL Canadians must learn French for opportunities in government that 65% mandatory bilingual ,Quebec is French only and the rest of Canada must assimilate to French.

Have we forgotten that there is another 200 languages and cultures in Canada ?But there not in the the social engineering plan .

    CC2,
Nor is the government forcing anyone to be bilingual.

Now Richard if people are unable to get gainful employment due to language only, this is covertly enforcing bilingualism ,so no right for choice if one wants to work for their own government.

Now if for employment in your government now want you to learn Cantonese to be hired and we hire Cantonese bilingual at 65% of quota at a A- level .
How would you look at this ?Particularly when they represent such a small percentage of the population.

A choice remains a choice and government language policy limits choice thereby forcing those individuals to comply for opportunities.

ASSIMILATE OR YOU WILL NOT BE REWARDED OTHERWISE YOU ARE DESTINED TO CLEAN TOILETS NO MATTER THE EDUCATION OR MERIT.

  11. Highlander, not only are immigrants(and 2nd, 3rd generations) teaching and continuing their language and culture, some question why they need to pay for Indian claims / treaties / funding / different rules or learn yet another language.

PS This video is going viral, thanks EDUDYORLIK!!!!!

  13. Eric,

Yes many are questioning these issues .

But the pretense of bilingualism is to protect a language or culture by any normal analogy does not require protection.

Many native languages are near extinct and if the original intention of protecting a language was the purpose with all of this :why not have the same protection that is allocated to French for the truly endangered languages?
Or was this intent not really about protecting a language or culture but assimilation of French with the many others cultures ?

Why protect the one culture /language when there are some that are truly endangered ?

  14. Yes different standards for different peoples.

  15. I keep proving you guys wrong, Its getting to be an annoyance. And yet i’m wondering if you read the post I write or if you have an answer ready even before reading it. Think of this, the mayor of bay durfé is unilingual anglophone, the former president of la caisse de dépot du Québec was unilingual anglo. David Smith was even prefered from two bilingual french candidates.

Eric, I just copied and pasted what you wrote in your post. And for my friend Howard, the ministry of native affairs is funded by alot more then 2.4 billion.

“I keep proving you guys wrong, Its getting to be an annoyance.”

OMG that’s too funny -LMAOFD .

This is like the child knowing he about to lose at checkers and swipes the table clean stating I won because you cheated,no proof therein.

If you are unable to play and debate in the sandbox please exit .

    ,Stats are : francophone 20%
Government hiring bilingual to serve those 20 % are 65% .

So if one is to insure service to a minority does one hire 300% above the needs ?
Would that not be considered hiring discrimination to others …HELL yes in most democracies ,but in a french dominated government work force it is encouraged to hire your brethren.

Trust me Richard the stats do not work in your favor as this practice has been abused for way too long.

Cory Cameron June 25,2013 at 4:17 pm

” I have also asked why are funds traditionally set aside for Bilingualism French not set aside for the languages such as Mohawk that are truly in desperate need.”

    June 25, 2013 at 7:19 pm

“- and cory, in your previous post, Pierre said that they do get services and funding. More then the 2.4 for bilingualism.”

Oh Richard don’t forget the 10 billion extra Le welfare province will get this year at the expense of all other provinces with transfer payments (bribes) for appeasement.

The question is why not spend 2.4 billion on truly near extinct languages (NATIVES) and provide the ever reaching legislative power and hire 65% native languages within government.

Richard Now please step out of the sandbox ,intellectual debate required here!

  17. Referendums are continously cast in the Province of Quebec asking Quebecers if they wish to remain in Canada…

I would like to know when the rest of Canada will be consulted as to whether we wish to have Quebec remain within Confederation, and if so; when will they abide by Canadian rules and not self-created Draconian language laws negatively affecting their minority populations?

And remember folks. This isn’t a French vs. English debate going on here. This is a French vs. Everybody else kind of debacle that is presently taking place in the Republic of Quebec.

I vote for a Referendum to take place asking all other provinces/territories should they wish to see Quebec gone so that we can finally move on with a unified Canada; not one diversified Canada led by Pro-French, Pro-Quebec interests!

  18. @ trembly

    You couldn’t prove 2+2 equals 3 wrong.

If you are annoyed, then blog on imperative francais and you can be part of the blind leading the blind.

On this site facts and honesty are the norm, not conjecture and falsehoods.

  19. Cory Cameron June 26, 2013 at 3:18 pm

    Cory,

Quebec and its approach with minorities has me feeling shamed to be Canadian when international press shows the many instances whereby minorities are mistreated.
Padtagate, soccer and turbins ,and the many other minority abuses that make it to the international press.

If this continues along this path many Canadians will deny their Canadian heritage abroad as they will be know as a country and people of intolerance because of one provinces ETHNOCENTRIC behaviour.

Feel proud Canadians as the politics of Quebec has a direct impact on how citizens of other countries view us.

  20. So because you can’t get the job you think you deserve, the country should separate. Howard, who would you get to provide government services in french, unilingual anglos ?

    – So you guys would break up our country, just because you’re not getting your way on language issues. The government sets parameters for its population. Do I agree with all the parameters, nope. But, how can you say it’s not fair for me to get services in areas where there are thousands of other francophones. The only reason why you say its not fair is because you have to show some effort and some curtesy. And granted, to some it is a good excuse. Didn’t get a government job, those darn french requirements. Had to turn the cereal box in the morning to read the ingredients in english, ah those darn french people.

    – Watched my first kilroy video today. Mautadit que tu as du temps à perdre toi. He blames everything under the sun on the french. From the national anthem being switched to oh Canada to town signs having french first next to their name. Man, tu n’as pas de vie toi.

  21. Author

Richard does he blame “the French” or the Separatists and Social Engineers?

  22. I’d say all three.

  23. Highlander,

A couple of months after the Marois PQ government came to power, I offered a cash donation and any support I could muster in the cause of Quebec separation.

I wrote something to the affect that I believed Quebec and Canada’s, ‘Marriage of Inconvenience’ was becoming much too stressful on both populations and that both Canada and Quebec were setting sail on different cultural futures…

I have yet to hear a response from the PQ leadership. The question that keeps bothering me is the fact that the PQ never responded to my cash offering.

Can you think of any other polical party in human history that never responded to a letter offering a cash donation?

I certainly cannot. I guess they already receive much in ‘cash donations’ from the likes of millions of patriotic, Nationalistic Canadians?

What was one more donation, right?

  24. OMG…..now that is funny!!! “unified Canada” Canada will never be unified as long as galganov and his blind followers are still hanging on the face of the earth. The head cook and bottle washer (howard/highlander) will never be happy no matter what.

What is even funnier is “Remember folks this isn’t a French and English debate” Tell that one to an idiot, maybe they would believe you…..but I doubt it. Anyone one who knows the g, knows his radical views and his agenda. Folks the galganov pamphlets says it all………”ABOLISH FRENCH” See it is not a French and english debate LMAO!!!!

Patrick, why would you waste your time watching a Kilroy video? Ca ne vaux pas la peine, une perte de temps.

I can’t believe highlander’s/ howard’s post at 3:18 PM. We will all renounce being Canadian and ashamed to admit we are. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I have one suggestions for you howard. If you feel this country doesn’t treat people fairly, if you are ashamed to be a Canadian, if you think we are not the envy of the world and that this country is intolerant and if you are not happy living in this peace loving country………DO US ALL A FAVOR AND MOVE!!!! Perhaps Syria….just a final suggestion

  25. @Stella & Richard

Whats with referring to Highlander as “Howard”???
I find it rather far fetched that u both actually believe Highlander is Howard.
Do u actually believe Howard would waste his precious time blogging with u 2. He would tell u both to f*** off, end of story…

On a side note, I find it odd that S&R think Howards supporters on this site are trying to break up Canada…I mean Quebec does have the separtist government, just sayin-weird!!!!

Lastly, I quite enjoyed Kilroy’s video.Would be good to add to the educational curriculum…
Good luck @ the I am Canadian Rally this Sunday…
I am planning on going with a group of friends, hope to meet some of you there 🙂

  26. BTW lassie, nice language. It speaks volumes about your character and mentality.

It is not only S&R who say that galganov wants to separate this great country. It was evident when he ran for elections, the humiliating results were proof of what the majority thought of his radical agenda.

You are not a new comer to this site, probably changed your moniker, however, you should take your blinders off. It has been said time and time again, by this gang of English radicals, they want Quebec out. What is it about that statement that you don’t understand? To the average intelligent person, it is not complicated. It’s called separating a nation.

Folks in a desperate move, some of these freedom fighters decided to add native issues to their debate as they were running out of ammunition to save face. While reading an Ottawa paper, I came across this wonderful article which proved once again that many of their stories are not accurate and fabricated.

The headline: ABORIGINALS MAKING EDUCATIONAL GAINS.

It went on to say in 2010/11, Aboriginals Affairs spent $1.5 billion on First Nations and Inuit education with another $317 million to support post-secondary qualifications. According to some of these freedom fighters, the native people are not getting any Gov. help whatsoever……oh ok.

    HOGWASH AT IT’S BEST!!!!

“It has been said time and time again, by this gang of English radicals, they want Quebec out. ”

Oh the propaganda Queen at it again.

Its the separatist that want Quebec out of confederation,a REAL party whose only intention is to separate Quebec from Canada.
How is it Stella you have never made ill remarks to the only group (separatist) that really do want to separate the country .
You would prefer to make ill remarks to individuals that request equality for ALL Canadians and fair treatments to Canadian minorities.
A wolf in sheep’s clothing you are!

“Folks in a desperate move, some of these freedom fighters decided to add native issues to their debate as they were running out of ammunition to save face. ”

Well we all know French is not endangered yet already more then 10 native languages have become extinct and many more are endangered -check the stats Stella (That’s right you look nothing up but yet provide propaganda)

The pretense of bilingualism was the need to protect the French language .
The native languages are truly in need of protection why is our government not throwing billions that way as well as the legislated ever reaching power to prevent the extinction of Native languages?

That’s because as Trudeau had stated upon “official bilingualism” why would you want Quebec when you can have the entire country -bilingual today french tomorrow.

Its all about Social Engineering -Man ,Hitler would only have wished to provide that much control over his population.

So Stella standing up for minority rights and Equality in an intolerant society means that I should leave the country ?
So basically you are advocating for intolerance by requesting Howard to leave the country if he doesn’t like it?

You see that folks and who is the one who is intolerant.

YES ,YES a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Remember you were tolerant of those other cultures in your 6 months in New York, you in fact stated that .

“- So you guys would break up our country, just because you’re not getting your way on language issues.”

Once again its about equality and freedom of expression -If you really are concerned about breaking up the country you need to address that with your separatist brethren.

” But, how can you say it’s not fair for me to get services in areas where there are thousands of other francophones.”

I would never said such a thing ,but It would be fair to provide those services appropriately such as representation by population.

    As it stands :
    Cornwall stats -56000+ population
    English only- 43000
    French only 545
    Bilingual approx 13,000

    Health unit 100% bilingual
    Hospital over 50% bilingual
    Courts nearing 80% bilingual
    Provincial entities 65% bilingual
    CCAC – 80% bilingual
    AND so on.

This far exceeds the needs of the community in fact many of these government agencies hire outside of province as there are not enough bilingual persons to fill these bilingual job Quota’s.

Now Richard/Partrick that video you just seen please have the courtesy to prove any of that information as being wrong?

That’s fine to disagree ,but provide data that that would show this as false information.
Otherwise its all propaganda from your end.

  30. I watched 2 or 3 minutes of the 12 minutes video. Its like channel surfing for me, it was boring. Monotone voice and he just rambled on blaming everything on the french.
    – so, in cornwall close to 14 thousand people can speak french. Because they can speak both official languages, that means you don’t have to make the effort to learn both of them. It goes back to what I said in a previous post. Curtesy.

    – So if I used your numbers, 30 %(roughly) of the employees of the hospital should be bilingual. So that means howard that 70 % of the front line staff can’t help francophones. And if you go by your logic, hire by proportional representation, your not going to hire the best person for the job. If you bow to the will of the majority, THEN, you can quote a name like hitler.

    – I am not a separatist. I’m not the one promoting separation of our country. YOu guys are.

    – english lassie, YES, I do believe howard has nothing better to do. He craves the attention by any means necessary. Even going so far as to promote the extermination of a culture. Again, another à propos time to quote hitler.
