CFN –   A safe, healthy, and joyous Shana Tov 5773 to all of our Jewish friends and family from CFN!     For our non Jewish friends Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year which is celebrated this year from Sundown until Sundown on September 6th.

It is one of the High Holidays  Celebrated in the Jewish religion.   In fact it’s the first of the year and also known as “The Day of Awe”.

It’s also a great time for Apples and Honey and other traditional fare.

Peace to all and Happy Rosh Hashanah!

Like traditional January 1st New Years Rosh Hashanah is an opportunity to look back at the last year and contemplate on having a better year and what can be done differently; what needs to be changed, and an opportunity to look to the future!

  1. Everyone of the Jewish faith and heritage Happy Rosh Hashannah. I saw the Challah bread (egg bread) and I have the recipe to that even though it isn’t Lebanese. I saw the olive oil and the pita bread which I had a while ago with a salad and chicken. We have similar meals. I rarely ever eat Canadian bread except for toast. I remember that festivity while in high school when the Jewish students would take off school during that time. Those were fond memories in Cornwall back in the 50’s and 60’s era that I miss so very much. Later everything went dark.

Jamie I wish you a Happy Rosh Hashannah as well. Take care and enjoy.

Thank you Jules. You’re one of the few that have wished me in Cornwall 🙂

  4. May you atone splendiferously, Son. What?

“splendiferously” omg, you must be freaking tweaking to come up with that one amigo 🙂

  6. To Jamie and all my Jewish friends wishing you Shana Tov and Rosh Hashanah.

The video’s provided was great and provided myself with a little more knowledge of the Jewish faith but as well the other video’s linked enhanced my knowledge of Islamic faith.

    Thanks greatly appreciated .

I consider myself more agnostic then atheist but believe all religions can teach us much in regard to humanities and treatment of our fellow man.

It is always a pleasure to inform myself of religions and their customs .

Jamie I really hope you take the opportunity to take that time of reflection (Teshuba) I hope I spelled that properly. Hoping you have the opportunity to enjoy your family.
