Cornwall, ON – Donald Delormier, 25 of Akwesasne was arrested on January 16th, 2014 on the strength of a Warrant. It is alleged that the man Failed to Attend Court on January 14th, 2014 for drug related charges.  A warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 16th, 2014 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

 

Cornwall, ON – Amanda Tryon, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on January 16th, 2014 on the strength of a Probation Warrant for Breaching her Conditional Sentence Order by failing to keep the peace. On January 16th, 2014 police attended the court house as the woman was in custody on unrelated charges. Police took the woman into custody on the strength of the warrant.  She was held for a bail hearing.

 

 

THREATS

 

Cornwall, ON – A 34 year old Cornwall man was arrested on January 16th, 2014 and charged with Threats to Life and Breach of Probation for failing to notify a change of address and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on January 14th, 2014 the man who recently separated with his 35-year-old common-law wife contacted his 14-year-old son by way of phone and threatened to come over and blow them up. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 15th, 2014 the Cornwall Police attended the Kingston Police Station and assumed custody of the man as the Kingston Police Service had him in custody on Cornwall’s charges. He was transported to Cornwall and held for a bail hearing. His name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victims.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 27 year old Cornwall man was arrested on January 16, 2014.  It is alleged that while in a care giving role, he inappropriately touched his 9 year old nephew.  Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted.  The man was charged with Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference and Invitation to Sexual Touching.  He was released to appear in court on February 11, 2014.  His name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

 

 

IMPAIRED

 

            Cornwall, ON – Mark McQuatt, age 42, of Woodlawn, Ontario, was arrested on January 17, 2014.  He is bound by a Probation Order with the relevant condition to Keep the Peace.  On January 17, he was observed by police to be operating a motor vehicle on Vincent Massey Drive while under the influence of Alcohol.  A traffic stop was conducted and an investigation followed.  He was charged with Breach of Probation, Impaired and Over .08.  He was released to appear in court on February 6, 2014.

BENCH WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Shari Gagnon, 45 of Cornwall was arrested on January 15th, 2014 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that on January 14th, 2014 the woman failed to attend court as directed and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On January 15th, 2014 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Angeline Ceaser 18, 0f Cornwall was arrested on January 15th, 2014 and charged with breaching her recognizance by being away from her residence. It is alleged that on January 15th, 2014 a member of the Cornwall Community Police spotted the woman known to be on conditions travelling west bound on Fifth Street East. As a result an investigation ensued and police later attended her residence to deal with the matter. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and transported to police headquarters where she was held for a bail hearing. Police also executed a Probation warrant that was in place.

 

Cornwall, ON – Cory Sabourin, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on January 15th, 2014 and charged with breaching his undertaking for having been away from his residence without supervision, attending a specific store and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on January 15th, 2014 the man was out without supervision while at a Pitt Street store. Police were contacted and located the man at the store. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

MISCHIEF

 

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January14th, 2014 and charged with mischief. It is alleged that on January 14th, 2014 the man was visiting his ex-wife on Hamilton Crescent when a verbal argument erupted. The man who had exited the residence returned and kicked in the door as he had been locked out by his ex-wife. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Police later located the man at his residence, took him into custody and charged him accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

FRAUD

 

Cornwall, ON – Patricia Boismenu, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on January 14th, 2014 and charged with fraud under $5000.00.  It is alleged that she failed to declare changes in her living arrangements to the Ontario Works Resource Centre between July1st, 2013 until October 1st, 2013 which resulted in an overpayment of $3603.24. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 14th, 2014 she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on the February 20th, 2014.

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A19-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on January 14th, 2014 and charged with breaching her recognizance for associating with her boyfriend despite being on conditions not to and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on January 14th, 2014 police attended a Seymore Street address in relation to a disturbance call. Once on scene they spoke with the woman and located her boyfriend hiding in the closet. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as the recognizance stems from a domestic incident and might identify the victim in the matter.
