Cornwall, ON – Andrew Ross, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on March 11th, 2014 for having breached his conditional sentence order. It is alleged that on March 11th, 2014 police attended the area of Sydney Street and Eleventh Street for a disturbance call. While investigating the call they located the man and found that he was in breach of his conditional sentence order by being out of his residence. He was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.

 

DRUG WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Vincent Brunette, 25 and Sarah Sefcsik, 26 both of Cornwall were arrested on March 11th, 2014 and charged as follows:

 

Vincent Brunette

Possession of Cocaine

  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Breach of a JP recognizance X2 for not residing at a specified address and for being in possession of drugs

Sarah Sefcsik

  • Possession of Cocaine
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Breach of an undertaking X2 for having consumed drugs and failing to keep the peace.

It is alleged that on March 11th, 2014 members of the Cornwall Street Crime Unit executed a warrant at a Guy Street address and located the following

  • 3.9 grams of marijuana; Street value of $39.00
  • 9.3 grams of cocaine; Street value of $760.00
  • A quantity of Canadian currency

Both were taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

 

THEFT UNDER, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Sherry Atwell, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on March 11th, 2014 and charged with theft under $5000, breach of probation for attending a specific store and failing to keep the peace. She was also charged with breaching an undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on March 11th, 2014 the woman attended a Ninth Street store and selected items which she concealed and made no attempts to pay for as she exited the store. She was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

ASSAULT, THREATS

 

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 11th, 2014 and charged with threats to property, threats to life and assault. It is alleged that on March 8th, 2014 during an argument with his 20-year-old wife the man threatened to burn their car and threatened to harm anyone who would touch his property. The man also pushed his wife while entering a doorway. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was later released to appear in court on April 15th, 2014. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Kellen Sunday, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on March 11th, 2014 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the man failed to attend court on February 25th, 2014 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 11th, 2014 the man was stopped at the port of entry and taken into custody on the strength of the warrant. Police attended and assumed custody of the man who was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [STORMONT DUNDAS and GLENGARRY] Domestic Incident / Stolen Trailer 2014-03-12

(North Dundas) – On 11Mar14, at approximately 11:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic that had taken place on Allen Road, North Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that a female and her 24yr old boyfriend were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female.

He was arrested and faces a charge of:

– Assault

He is scheduled to appear 18mar14 in Cornwall court.
STOLEN TRAILER

(North Glengarry) – On 11Mar14, at approximately 11:45am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a theft on County Road 34, North Glengarry Township.

The investigation revealed that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) attended a business and removed a 2005 trailer loaded with roofing material.

The investigation is ongoing.
