Cornwall, ON – Cory Jocko, 27 of Akwesasne was arrested on March 12th, 2014 and charged with breaching a recognizance for failing to sign in at Cornwall police headquarters. It is alleged that on March 7th, 2014 the man failed to sign in and an investigation ensued. On March 12th, 2014 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 17th, 2014.

 

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 12th, 2014 and charged with breaching an undertaking for being in the company with someone she has conditions not to and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on March 12th, 2014 the woman was taken into custody at the port of entry as she was found to be breaching her conditions by being in the company of someone for which she has conditions not to associate with.  She was turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service who assumed custody of the woman and charged her accordingly. She was transported to police headquarters and later released to appear in court on April 1st, 2014. Her name was not released as it might identify the victim in the original matter.

 

WARRANT

 

Cornwall ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 12th, 2014 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the man breached his youth probation conditions and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 12th, 2014 the man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant at the port of entry. He was turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service and transported to police headquarters where he was released with a future court date. His name was not released as it stems from an incident when the man was a youth.

 

ASSAULT, THREATS, BREACH, UNLAWFULLY IN A DWELLING, RESIST ARREST

 

Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old man from Akwesasne was arrested on March 12th, 2014 and charged with assault, threats, unlawfully in a dwelling, resist arrest and five counts of breach of probation for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on March12th, 2014 the intoxicated man entered his 36-year-old ex-girlfriend’s residence on Guy Street without her permission and an argument ensued. During the argument the man threatened to kill her grabbed his ex-wife by the neck and pushed her to the floor. He then slapped her across the face. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody after a brief struggle and charged accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

ASSAULT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 12th, 2014 and charged with assault. It is alleged that the woman was involved in an argument with her 21-year-old boyfriend when she struck him in the eye. Police were called and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was transported to police headquarters and later released with a future court date. Her name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.
