Cornwall, ON – Kevin Simser, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on March 18th, 2014 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the man had breached his probation conditions and a probation office warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 18th, 2014 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000

 

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Fourkiotis, 33 of Cornwall was arrested on March 18th, 2014 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that on March 10th, 2014 the man attended a Brookdale Avenue store and removed a barbeque making no attempts to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 18th, 2014 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 17th, 2014.

 

MISCHIEF

 

Cornwall, On – A 21-year-old Brinston, ON man was arrested on March 18th, 2014 and charged with mischief. It is alleged that on March 18th, 2014 the man was involved in an argument with his 20-year-old Cornwall girlfriend when he punched the microwave causing it to be damaged. On March 18th, 2014 police attended a Louisa Street address in relation to a disturbance call and learned that the man had earlier damaged the microwave. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 15th, 2014. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON A 46-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 18th, 2014 and charged with breaching his probation order for having made contact with someone that he has conditions not to and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on March 18th, 2014 the man attended a Sixth Street address and attempted to speak to his 45-year-old ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and located the intoxicated man in the area. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 15th, 2014. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT

 

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 17th, 2014 and charged with assault and breach of a youth probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on March 17th, 2014 while at a local donut shop the man confronted a 17-year-old male then proceeded to strike him in the face. Police were called and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court at a future date. His name was not released as the breach charge stems from a youth probation order and his name is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

(North Dundas) – On 17Mar14, at approximately 3:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Loucks Road, North Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that a female and her 35yr old husband were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
– Assault with a Weapon
– Poss. of a Schedule II substance-Cannabis Marihuana

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
(North Dundas) – On 18Mar14, at approximately 11:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Kerr’s Ridge Road, North Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that a female and her 38yr old boyfriend were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Assault
– Utter Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
– Utter Threats – Damage Property
– Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
(North Glengarry) – On 18Mar14, at approximately 8:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Main St. Alexandria, On.

The investigation revealed that a male and his 17yr old girlfriend were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the female assaulting the male.

She was arrested and faces charges of:

– Assault
– Mischief – Domestic
– Failure to comply with disposition

She is scheduled to appear 24apr14 in Cornwall court.
