            Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 17th, 2014 and charged with mischief. It is alleged that during an argument with his mother on June 15th, 2014 the youth knocked over household items causing a monitor to be damaged. Police were contacted to attend the McConnell Avenue address and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

THREATS

            Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 17th, 2014 and charged with threats. It is alleged that during an argument on June 17th, 2014 the man threatened to knock his 23-year-old girlfriend’s teeth out. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation at the Carleton Street address the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT, THREATS TO LIFE

 

Cornwall, ON – Nancy Waldrif, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on June 17th, 2014 and charged with assault and threats. It is alleged that on June 16th, 2014 while at a Second Street East address the woman threatened to cut a 50-year-old woman’s throat and later punched her in the eye. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 17th, 2014 during their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

ASSAULT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 16th, 2014 and charged with assault. It is alleged that on June 11th, 2014 while at school the youth punched a 19-year-old man in the face and police were later contacted. During their investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

BREAK AND ENTER, BREACH, POSSESSION OF A PROHIBITED WEAPON, TRESPASS BY NIGHT

 

Cornwall, ON – Devon Walker-Boettger, 18 and a14-year-old youth both of Cornwall were arrested on June 17th, 2014. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of June 17th, 2014 the two attempted to gain entry into an unlocked residence in the area of Montreal Road and McConnell when the resident was alerted and contacted police. Police located the two males in the area and took them into custody. The youth was charged with attempt break and enter and trespass by night. Devon Walker-Boettger was found to be in possession of an illegal knife and was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, attempt break and enter, trespass by night, breach of recognizance for possessing a prohibited weapon and failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breaching an undertaking for failing to keep the peace and being in possession of a prohibited weapon. The youth was later released to appear in court at a later date while Walker-Boettger was held for a bail hearing. The youth’s name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

SD&G OPP:

DOMESTICS

(South Stormont) – On June 16th, 2014 at approximately 3:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Highway 138, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a male and his common-law spouse the previous evening had resulted in the female being assaulted.

The 47 year old male was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault

He was held in custody, pending a court appearance (bail) in Cornwall.

(South Dundas) – On June 16th, 2014 at approximately 9:45pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Barkley Road, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated a verbal altercation between a male (driver) and his girlfriend in the vehicle resulted in the driver losing control and striking a hydro pole. Minor injuries resulted.

The 17 year old male from South Dundas was arrested and is charged with;

– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

He was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on July15th, 2014.

THEFT OF MOTORCYCLE

(North Dundas) – Overnight (15-16June, 2014) a garage at a property on Queen Street in the Village of Inkerman was entered. Inside, a 2007 Honda CRF 150R dirt bike, red was taken.

An investigation continues.

Kingston Police Service

Stabbing Leads to Attempted Murder, Weapons Charges

On Tuesday, June 17th, 2014 at approximately 5:26 p.m., Kingston Police and Frontenac Paramedic Services responded to the area of Princess St and Chatham St for a report of a 37-year-old male suffering from multiple stab wounds.

 

Both paramedics and police were on scene within minutes and witnesses quickly directed responding officers to a nearby residence where a 23-year-old Kingston male was arrested a short time later.

 

Officers from Patrol Division, Criminal Investigation Division, and Forensic Identification Unit continued the investigation throughout the evening.

 

The victim was hospitalized and is in stable condition. The suspect was held in custody and will be charged on June 18th, 2014 with Attempted Murder, Uttering a Threat to Cause Death, Weapons Dangerous, and three counts of Breach of Probation.

 

Detectives from the Major Crime Unit are continuing the investigation, though no further suspects are being sought in this incident.
