CCPS LOGOFAIL TO ATTEND FOR PRINTS

            Cornwall, ON – Cameron McBain, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on August 1st, 2014 and charged with failing to attend for prints. It is alleged that on July 11th, 2014 the man failed to attend police headquarters as directed for fingerprints and an investigation ensued. On August 1st, 2014 the man was located at his residence. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT, MISCHIEF, BREACH

            Cornwall, ON – John Laffin, 51 of Cornwall was arrested on August 1st, 2014 and charged with assault, mischief and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on August 1st, 2014 during an argument the man pushed and slapped a 45-year-old man that was known to him. He also caused mischief by punching a hole in the wall. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 1st, 2014 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

THREATS

            Cornwall, ON – Jordan Cadieux, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on August 4th, 2014 and charged with threats. It is alleged that on August 4th, 2014 police attended a Brookdale Avenue residence as the intoxicated man contacted police in relation to an earlier call where police spoke with him. Once on scene the man threatened to punch an officer and hand cuff him to a pole with his own handcuffs. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on September 2nd, 2014.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, BREACH

            Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 4th, 2014 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged that on August 4th, 2014 the man attended his 45-year-old ex-girlfriend’s residence on several occasions despite having been previously warned by police not to communicate with her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was spotted in the area of Glengarry Boulevard and Second Street. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

            Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 4th, 2014 and charged with breaching his probation orders for being within 50 metres of his ex-girlfriend and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on August 4th, 2014 the man was found to be breaching his conditions by being within 50 meters of his ex-girlfriend’s residence and police were contacted. The man was located in the area, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

            A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on August 4th, 2014 and charged with breaching an undertaking for being out past curfew as well as a probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on August 4th, 2014 the youth left his place of residence breaching his curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth later returned home and police were contacted. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provisions of the youth criminal justice act.

PERSONATION, BREACH

            Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on August 5th, 2014 and charged with personation and breach of undertaking for being out past curfew and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of August 5th, 2014 police attended the area of Hebert Street and Thirteenth in relation to a suspicious persons call. Once on scene they located the youth who falsely identified himself as someone else. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
