POSSESSION MARIHUANA
Cornwall, ON – Mathieu Kingslea, 24 of Hawkesbury was arrested on October 10th, 2014 and charged with possession of marihuana and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on October 10th, 2014 while in custody for unrelated matters the man was searched and found to be concealing marihuana in his shoe. He was advised of the additional charges and held for a bail hearing.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on October 10th, 2014 and charged with assault. It is alleged that on October 10th, 2014 during an argument with his 18-year-old girlfriend the youth punched her in the back and stomped on her foot. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Justin Denes, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on October 10th, 2014 and charged with breaching his undertaking for being out past curfew. It is alleged that during a traffic stop on October 10th, 2014 the man was found to be out past his curfew. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 13th, 2014.
CARE AND CONTROL
Cornwall, ON – Joshua Hart, 25 of Cornwall was arrested on October 11th, 2014 and charged with care and control of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of October 11th, 2014 the man was found to be in care and control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Second Street west and Brookdale Avenue. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 16th, 2014.
CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Mallorytown woman was arrested on October 10th, 2014 and charged with criminal harassment, breach of recognizance for communicating with someone she has conditions not to and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that between October 8th and October 10th, 2014 the woman sent several text messages and made several phone calls to her 50-year-old ex-wife despite being on conditions not to communicate with her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 10th, 2014 the woman was taken into custody by the OPP on Cornwall’s charges. She was transported to Cornwall, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.
MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – Dennis McCullogh, 43 of Cornwall was arrested on October 11th, 2014 and charged with mischief. It is alleged that on October 10th, 2014 during an argument with a 22-year-old woman from Alexandria the man punched her vehicle causing it to be dented. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 11th, 2014 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 30th, 2014.
ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 12th, 2014 and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged that on September 28th, 2014 during an argument with her 35-year-old ex-common-law husband the woman struck him in the face with a beer bottle. On October 10th, 2014 police were contacted to investigate. On October 12th, 2014 the woman was located at her residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.
THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Paul Kameka, 35 and Gracie Randall, 25 both of Cornwall were arrested on October 12th, 2014 and charged with theft under $5000. Kameka was also charged with breaching a probation order and undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on October 12th, 2014 both entered a Second Street East grocery store and removed a quantity of meat making no attempts to pay for the items as they left the store. Police were contacted by the Loss Prevention Officer as he followed the two who refused to stop under his direction. Both were taken into custody in the area of St-Felix Street and Third Street by police and charged accordingly. Randall was released to attend court on November 27th, 2014 while Kameka was held for a bail hearing.
MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – Jake Laramie, 22 and a 17-year-old youth both from Cornwall were arrested on October 12th, 2014 and charged with mischief. It is alleged that on October 12th, 2014 they attended a used car lot on Pitt Street and caused damage to a van’s windows. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the two were located in the area, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. The youth’s name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service Arson Unit investigated an arson that occurred at approximately 20:20 hrs on Thursday the 9th of Oct., 2014 at 1934 Stagecoach Road. Three structures on the property were severely damaged by an explosion and subsequent fire.
The Arson Unit was assisted at the scene by OPS Patrol Services, investigators from the Office of the Fire Marshal, investigators for the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) and Ottawa Fire Service personnel. The cause of the fire was incendiary. There was no evidence that would indicate that marijuana grow op or a methamphetamine lab was present at the scene.
The criminal investigation is ongoing.
