  1. Yes, Harper has to go. I am not behind Harpoon Harper’s “tough on crime” agenda. I want them for a variety of reasons.

  2. Hugger: You “confused” the issues when you compared this “crime” to impersonating a police officer. No comparison by the way.

Then you made them even more “confused” when you spoke about child murderers dressing up and impersonating someone else. SHEESH! Where did that come from?

    As Furtz said: Carry on!

  3. “Confused the issues?” So impersonating a soldier is okay? I don’t think so.

If you don’t think child murderers would impersonate a soldier or police officer to get what they want you are mistaken.

    Carry on, eh!!

  4. Trevor, it seems that anyone with mental issues should be considered a potential child killer. Best to lock them all up as a precautionary measure.

  5. Yes Furtz, unfortunately, it would seem that way with many people. Just goes to show what level of ignorance and stigma still exists towards mental illness. Seems like no possibility for further rational debate on this subject.

  6. Jeez,,,, I was using a child murderer as an example.

  7. Hey Furtz do you have any information directly from the Conservations that specifically supports your claim that our government wishes to “get our incarceration rate up closer to US levels”?

  8. It has yet to be determined if Franck has a mental illness. Yes, there is ignorance and a stigma towards mental illness. Having had a depression a few times and anxiety constantly I can attest to that.

  9. David, I thought you were a follower of federal politics.

  10. Federal and politics in the same sentence? Isn’t that an oxymoron?

  11. How’s that Hugger? Government at any level is all about politics.

  12. Getting disillusioned by all politicians. Are there any honest ones left?

  13. Author

Hugger it’s never really about honesty. Some of the most effective and loved politicians historically were not honest.
