Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 6th, 2015 and charged with mischief. It is alleged that during an argument on January 5th, 2015 with his ex-common-law wife the man kicked her car causing it to be damaged. Police were contacted to investigate. On January 6th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Louis Delorme, 34 of Cornwall was arrested on January 6th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that on December 11th, 2014 the man failed to attend court for a theft under charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 6th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was arrested on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 6th, 2015 and charged with breach of undertaking for being in the company of someone he has conditions not to associate with and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that during a traffic stop on January 6th, 2015 the man was found to be in the company of someone he has conditions not to associate with. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and might identify the victim in the matter.

 

Cornwall, ON – Simon Dupuis, 40 of Ile Perrot, Quebec was arrested on January 7th, 2015 and charged with breach of recognizance for being outside of his residence. It is alleged that on January 7th, 2015 the man was found to be breaching his conditions as he was spotted by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service in the area of Fourteenth Street and Brookdale Avenue. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

SD&G OPP

UTTER THREAT
(South Glengarry) – On January 6, 2015 at approximately 3:30pm, SD&G OPP officers began an investigation into a reported domestic situation at a residence on Greer Road, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that on December 31, 2014, an altercation between an adult male and his spouse resulted in the male uttering a threat to cause damage to the home.

The 49-year-old man was arrested and is charged with;

– Utter Threat to Damage Property

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on February 3, 2015.

Ottawa Police Service

The Ottawa Police Service Central District Investigators are trying to identify a man and a woman involved in theft from an LCBO.

Between October 5th and October 11th of 2014, a man and a woman were responsible for three documented thefts at the same LCBO located on Montreal Road.  In all instances, they stole bottles of alcohol of a very high value.

The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking to identify two suspects responsible for a retail robbery.

On December 14, 2014, at approximately 4:40 am., two male suspects entered a gas station situated along the 3200 block of Conroy Rd. One suspect, armed with a sawed off shotgun, approached the employee and made a verbal demand for cash.  The second suspect kept watch closer to the door. The suspects obtained an undisclosed quantity of cash and fled the premises, last seen running westbound on Johnston Rd. The suspects are described as follows (images attached):

#1: Black male, very dark skin, thin build, 5’10”, in his 20’s, possibly with facial hair, wearing a black winter jacket, jeans, black gloves, a black tuque, and red, black & white running shoes

#2: Black male, lighter skin, thin build, 20’s, wearing a dark tuque, blue hood pulled up over his head, a black sweater, beige pants and white running shoes.

SIU

SIU Investigating Shooting Injuries in Toronto

Mississauga (7 January, 2015) — Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit is probing the circumstances surrounding the shooting injuries sustained by a 34-year-old man this morning in Toronto.

Preliminary information indicates the following:

  • At approximately 8:30 a.m. on January 7, 2015, the Toronto Police Service was notified of an armed holdup in progress at 591 Sherbourne Street;
  • Officers attended the area. A short time later, there was an interaction between officers and a man inside a Pharma Plus at 345 Bloor Street East. The man sustained gunshot wounds to the abdomen and leg;
  • The individual has been taken to St. Michael’s Hospital for treatment.

The SIU has assigned six investigators and two forensic investigators to probe the circumstances of this incident.

The SIU is an arm’s length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault. Under the Police Services Act, the Director of the SIU must

  • consider whether an officer has committed a criminal offence  in connection with the incident under investigation
  • depending on the evidence, lay a criminal charge against the officer if appropriate or close the file without any charges being laid
  • report the results of any investigations to the Attorney General.

On January 1st, Brockville Police responded to a domestic dispute at a south end residence.
A 46 year old female and a 57 year old male were engaged in a heated dispute.

Police were not confident things would deescalate when departing the residence. The male party was arrested to prevent a further breach of the peace.
He was released unconditionally later in the day.

On January 1st, Brockville police responded to a complaint of a group of males fighting in the area King St. W. and Apple St.

As a result of the melee, one male was pushed through a window, breaking same. He received minor injuries. Police are still investigating the incident and identifying participants. No charges have been laid at this point.

On January 1st, Brockville Police were speaking to parties outside of a bar on King St. E. when they heard and observed a west bound vehicle strike a parked car in the area of King St. E. and Garden St.

The vehicle then fled northbound on Garden St. which is a one way street for south bound traffic.
The vehicle was stopped on Pine St. and the driver was found to be intoxicated.

A local, 30 year old male has been charged with Fail to Remain at an Accident Scene, Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Driving Over .08%.
He was released when sober with a future court date.
Damage was moderate to both vehicles.

His vehicle was also impounded for seven days and his licence suspended for 90 days.

On December 31st, Brockville Police responded to a south end residence in regards to a male party intoxicated and bleeding from the head.

A local, 17 year old male was taken to Brockville General Hospital for treatment of a minor cut and monitoring due to level of alcohol consumption.
He was left in the care of hospital staff and family.

On December 31st, Brockville Police Emergency Response Team in conjunction with their Intelligence Unit, conducted a search warrant on a residence in the south end of the city.

A quantity of a Controlled Drug was found within the residence and the male and female occupants were arrested and charged. The local 28 year old male and 23 year old female were released later with a future court date.

They face charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. The male was also breaching a Probation Order.
