Cornwall, ON – Keith Herne, 24 of Akwesasne was arrested on January 21st, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the man failed to attend court on February 4th, 2010 for uttering counterfeit money and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 21st, 2015 the man attended to Port of Entry to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Rene Delorme, 52 of Cornwall was arrested on January 21st, 2015 and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and being in the possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that on January 21st, 2015 members of the Cornwall Community Police Service while in the area of Third Street and Cumberland Street acted on information that the man was in possession of a controlled substance; he was taken into custody. He was found to be in possession of a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

 

ASSAULT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 21st, 2015 and charged with assault. It is alleged that on January 20th, 2015 the man punched his 22-year-old girlfriend in the face and on January 21st, 2015 police were contacted to investigate. The man was located at his residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Marc Fournier, 32 of no fixed address was arrested on January 22nd, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for being under the influence of alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of January 22nd, 2015 the man was spotted going through parked cars in the area of Marlborough Street and Montreal Road and police were contacted to investigate. The man was located in the area by police, taken into custody and found to be in the possession of stolen property. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

On Tuesday, September 20, 2014, the Toronto Police Service made the public aware of charges laid in a historic Sexual Assault investigation.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a historical sexual assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

– over a period of 30 years, two men (both together and individually) sexually assaulted boys and men,

– the victims were between 11 to 30 years of age at the time of the assaults

James Brian Wickens, 68, of Toronto, has been arrested. He is charged with:

1) Four counts of Indecent Assault on Male
2) Two counts of Gross Indecency

He is known in the Toronto area. He is a Mexican citizen and spends winters in the Puerto Vallarta area of Mexico.

David Ralph Cole, 77, of Toronto, has been arrested. He is charged with:

1) Three counts of Indecent Assault on Male
2) Five counts of Gross Indecency

David is a former department head of Sheridan College’s Oakville campus in the 1980s. He is a Mexican citizen and spends winters in the Puerto Vallarta area of Mexico.

They are both scheduled to appear in court on Friday, October 17, 2014, at 2201 Finch Ave West, room 202 at 1:30 p.m.

Police believe there may be more victims.

On Tuesday, January 20, 2015, investigators laid new charges in this ongoing investigation.

It is alleged that:

– a man sexually assaulted a number of victims

– victims range in age from 5-30

– these assaults have occurred over the past 30 years

David Ralph Cole, 77, of Toronto, is now further charged with:

1) five counts of Sexual Assault
2) three counts of Sexual Interference

He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Friday, March 6, 2015, 1 p.m., room 202.

He has strong ties to the Toronto area. He is also a Mexican citizen and spends winters in the Puerto Vallarta, Mexico area.

Police believe there may be more victims.
