CORNWALL Ontario – Cornwall Community Police issued a statement revolving around the grisly murder on Carleton Street in the East End early Monday.
A 28 year old man is alleged to have killed his mother in the family home.

Cornwall, ON – The Criminal Investigation Division of the Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigating a suspicious death that was discovered by police at a Carleton Street address shortly after 9:00 am on April 6th, 2015. A 52-year-old woman who suffered visible trauma was found by police inside the residence with no vital signs. A 28-year-old man known to the woman was later taken into custody and charged with murder. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death and the investigation into this matter continues by the Cornwall Community Police Service Criminal Investigation Division.
The 28-year-old man was held for a bail hearing.
