Broom Handle Mother Attack in Cornwall Ontario POLICE BLOTTER April 29, 2015 #CCPS

Cornwall, ON – Sandra Jocko, 46 and Symphony Pierce, 21 both of Cornwall were arrested and charged with the following:

 

  • Possession of Hydromorphone

 

  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Nabilone
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Oxycotin

It is alleged that on April 23rd, 2015 members of the Cornwall Street Crime Unit executed a warrant at a Brookdale Avenue residence and located a quantity of hydromorphone, marijuana, nabilone, methamphetamine and oxycotin. As a result of the warrant both were arrested and charged accordingly. Jocko was later released to appear in court on May 14th, 2015 while Pierce was released to appear in court on May 28th, 2015.

 

SEXUAL ASSAULT, SEXUAL EXPLOITATION

 

Cornwall, ON – A 56-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 27th, 2015 and charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation. It is alleged that between March, 1997 and November, 1998 the man sexually assaulted a 17-year-old youth known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 27th, 2015 the man was located at his residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 2nd, 2015. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

FRAUD UNDER $5000

 

Cornwall, ON – Angela Pettinicchio, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on April 27th, 2015 and charged with fraud under $5000. It is alleged that January 31st, 2015 the woman defrauded 39-year-old Cornwall man by writing him a cheque from a closed account. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 27th, 2015 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 2nd, 2015.

 

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

 

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 27th, 2015 and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged that on April 27th, 2015 the youth attempted to strike his mother with a broom handle that he broke. Police were contacted and took the youth into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 28th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that between July, 2014 and April, 2015 the man assaulted and threatened his 22-year-old common law wife and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation a warrant was obtained as the man’s whereabouts were unknown. On April 28th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Carrie Anderson, 24 of Monkland was arrested on April 28th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address. It is alleged that on April 12th, 2015 the woman took a cellular phone from a 56-year-old woman known to her and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation it was learned the woman had moved without notifying the Cornwall Police. On April 28th, 2015 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held in custody for a bail hearing.

 

BREAK AND ENTER

 

Cornwall, ON – Travis Moore, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on April 28th, 2015 and charged with break and enter. It is alleged that on April 14th, 2015 the man entered a Gulf Street residence and removed property that did not belong to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 28th, 2015 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service spotted the man in the area of the 200 block of Water Street. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

OPP

YOUTH CHARGED FOLLOWING DISPUTE

(South Glengarry) – On April 28, 2015 at approximately 8:17am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a family dispute at a residence on Concession Road 5, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that a male youth had assaulted two adult occupants in the home. Further information revealed he had also caused damage within the residence.

The 14-year-old male was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault (2 counts)
– Mischief Under $5000

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on May 21, 2015. The name of the accused is being withheld as per guidelines of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
