OPP Confirm IAN FROST Deceased in N Dundas Motorcycle Collision on Saturday July 18, 2015 #OPP

FATAL COLLISION

(North Dundas) – On July 18, 2015 at approximately 5:03pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of County Road 43 and County Road 7, North Dundas Township.

A motorcycle, driven by an adult male was westbound on County Road 43 when a northbound Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) entered County Road 43 from County Road 7 and collided with the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital and pronounced deceased. The adult female driver of the SUV and two (2) young passengers were not injured. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.

A section of both County Road 43 and 7 are closed to traffic as SD&G OPP officers and OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) process the scene and continue the investigation. Detour routes are in place and indicated.

FATAL COLLISION – VICTIM IDENTIFIED (update)

(North Dundas) – On July 18, 2015 at approximately 5:03pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of County Road 43 and County Road 7, North Dundas Township.

A motorcycle, driven by Ian FROST (69) of Manotick Station, Ontario was westbound on County Road 43 when a northbound Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) entered County Road 43 from County Road 7 and collided with the motorcycle. FROST was taken to hospital and pronounced deceased. The 45-year-old female driver (from Brooklyn, New York) of the SUV and two (2) young passengers were not injured.

A section of both County Road 43 and 7 are closed to traffic as SD&G OPP officers and OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) process the scene and continue the investigation. Charges are pending. Detour routes are in place and indicated.
