BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Alan Conway, 59 was arrested on September 11th, 2015 and charged with breaching his undertaking for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 11th, 2015 the intoxicated man was spotted by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service in the area of Marlborough Street and Sixth Street. He was taken into custody for breaching his conditions, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on October 15th, 2015.

 

IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80

 

Cornwall, ON – Michael Hebert, 52 of Cornwall was arrested on September 12th, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on September 12th, 2015 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Thirteenth Street and Pitt Street when he struck a sign and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 22nd, 2015.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Shane Riopelle, 34 of no fixed address was arrested on September 13th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 13th, 2015 the man took a bicycle that did not belong to him and police were contacted to investigate. The man was located a short distance away, taken into custody and found to be in possession of chocolate bars. Further investigation revealed the chocolate bars were taken from nearby convenience store and had not been paid for. The man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN CHARGES

(North Dundas) – On September 13, 2015 at approximately 7:16am, Stormont Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officer had the occasion to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on County Road 13, North Dundas Township. A check of the male driver revealed his driving privileges have been suspended stemming from previous driving related offences and he was in contravention of previous release conditions.

Shaun FOSTER (28) of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving Under Suspension (Highway Traffic Act)

– Breach Of Probation

He was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on October 27, 2015.

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

(South Stormont) – On September 12-13, 2015, SD&G OPP officer conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Stormont Townships and intercepted the following vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle(s) were impounded and the driver’s permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

– September 12, 2015 – 1:10pm (South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 155km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (32) from Paris, France was charged accordingly.

– September 13, 2015 – 2:57pm (South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 162km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (21) from South Stormont, Ontario was charged accordingly.

BREAK IN

(North Glengarry) – On September 12, 2015 at approximately 9:51pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break-in at a residence on Ste-Anne Road, North Glengarry Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime between – September 10, 2015 at 10:00am- 9:40pm on September 12, 2015 – culprit(s) forcibly entered the home and removed various tools.

(Kemptville, ON.) – Between September 7th and September 13th, the Kemptville Office of North Grenville Ontario Provincial Police investigated 86 general occurrences: 22 Kemptville, 39 Municipality of North Grenville, 6 Village of Merrickville – Wolford and 9 on Highway 416.

On August 14th, police were dispatched to a residence on Beach Road, North Grenville. While at the home, police obtained information that the home owner was unauthorized to possess a firearm. Police also located an ATV that was stolen in 2002. Daniel Dale CLOST, age 42 of North Grenville is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of stolen property over $5,000.00. Caroline CLOST, age 43 was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.00.

Sometime between the afternoon of September 8th and the morning of September 9th, a new home under construction on Colonel By Way in Wolford.was entered. The culprit(s) stole compressors, brad nailers and hoses, a Dewalt drill and Dewalt miter saw and stand. The investigation is ongoing.

During the early morning hours of September 9th, police were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 416 south, North Grenville. The driver of a Suzuki Grand Vitara fell asleep while driving and landed in the west ditch. The driver was not injured. A 20 year old male from Kingston, Ontario was charged with careless driving.
