Cornwall Ontario Police Blotter for September 20, 2015 #CCPS

DRUGS

Cornwall, ON – As a result of an investigation by the Cornwall Community Police Service’s Street Crime Unit three individuals were arrested on September 15, 2015. James Cook age 36, Paul Bourbonnais age 46, and Zoey Davis-Seguin age 21, all of Cornwall, were taken into custody and charged with Drug Possession (marihuana, methamphetamine and oxycodone) as well as Breach of Undertaking for failing to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. They were held for a Bail Hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Zain Abdin, age 29, of Laval QC, was located and taken into custody on September 16, 2015 for Drug Possession (cocaine and marihuana) and Drug Trafficking in Cornwall. He is currently bound by a Probation Order with the relevant conditions to not possess illegal drugs and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. As a result he was charged with 2 counts of Possession, 2 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and 2 counts of Breach of Probation. He was held in custody for a Bail Hearing.

THEFT AND BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Rene Lang, age 45, of Cornwall, was arrested on September 15, 2015. He was located by police and taken into custody for a prior Theft Under $5000 and Breach of Probation for failing to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on August 16, 2015 he attended a local Pet Store, selected an item and left the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise which was valued at $200.00. He was held for a Bail Hearing.

ASSAULT, MISCHIEF AND BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – Robert Kaufman, age 55, of Cornwall, was located and taken into custody on September 16, 2015 for Assault, Mischief Under $5000, Break and Enter, and Attempt to Commit an Indictable Offence. It is alleged that on September 1, 2015, he engaged in a verbal argument with a male acquaintance which escalated to him punching the male in the face outside of a Cornwall residence. The male sought refuge in his residence and locked the door to prevent the assault from continuing. Mr. Kaufman kicked the door then broke the glass window of the door attempting to gain entry into the residence. He fled the area upon being advised that police were responding. He was charged accordingly and held for a Bail Hearing.
