35th Cornwall Terry Fox Run Nets $20,002 for Cancer

35th CORNWALL TERRY FOX RUN

PARTICIPANTS:           358 (last year 357, 2013=364)

MONEY RAISED:          $20,002 (last year $26,818 2013=$22,382)

CORNWALL Ontario –  It is with great pride that Josée Sauvé announces that this year’s Cornwall Terry Fox Run raised $20,002.  “I never set a goal – I always just want the Community to do whatever they can to support the Terry Fox Foundation.  We didn’t beat last year’s total but I’m not disappointed.  Last year, we had a single one-time personal donation of $5,000 – that doesn’t happen often! I am incredibly proud of Cornwall for pulling together and raising what we could for Terry.

Participation was pretty much the same as 2014 but the Run managed to raise an incredible amount of money for cancer research anyway!

“The energy and love among participants was actually palpable!  Some people Run for someone that they lost or someone who has survived cancer and some people Run because they want to help support Cancer Research.  I am honoured and touched by the support, but not surprised – Cornwall is a generous community!”

‘I’m looking forward to the 36th Anniversary Cornwall Terry Fox Run which will be held on Sunday September 18, 2016 – MARK YOUR CALENDARS!  Let’s work together to try to beat Cornwall’s 2014 fundraising record but better yet, beat Cancer!
