DOMESTIC THREATS AND MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 48 year old Cornwall man was arrested on October 7, 2015 for three counts of Domestic Threats and one count of Domestic Mischief. It is alleged that on this date his estranged common-law wife was visiting his residence when they engaged in a verbal argument over the terms of the custody of their children. The argument, which was taking place outside, escalated to the point that the woman locked herself in her vehicle. The man threatened to break her window and punch her in the head. The man punched the hood of her vehicle causing damage to it and threatened further harm to the woman as she left the area. Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted. The man was arrested and charged accordingly. He was held in custody for a Bail Hearing. The man’s name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [LEEDS COUNTY (Brockville)] ROBBERY – RIDEAU LAKES 2015-10-08

(LEEDS, ON.) –   Officers of the Rideau Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing an investigation with the assistance of the Leeds County Crime Unit where a 60 year old man was assaulted during a robbery near Smiths Falls.
On the 29th of September 2015 at about 4:00 pm Ontario Provincial Police officers were called to a robbery in progress at a motel just outside of Smith Falls. After an investigation, four men were arrested with robbery related charges and break, enter and theft.
The victim received minor injuries and did not require medical treatment.
Charged were 22 year old Christopher SAUVE, of Rideau Lakes, 19 year old Kyle GRIFFITH, of Smiths Falls, 19 year old Malcolm PYPER, of Smiths Falls, and 21 year old Dakota BILLINGS of Smiths Falls.
All were released from custody pending court appearances at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division – Brockville.
Members of the Leeds County Crime Unit are continuing the investigation.

Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police with the assistance of the Brockville Police Service have arrested a 25 year old male from Augusta Township.

Sean Kinghorn, 25 years of age from Augusta Township has been charged with:

1 X Robbery – Mac’s Convenience Store Prescott

1 X Robbery – Mr. Gas Prescott

2 X Fail to Comply with Probation

Kinghorn is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

(Prescott, ON.) – The Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a robbery that took place at a Macs Convenience on Park St. in the Town of Prescott.

Shortly after 6:00 p.m. on October 3, 2015 members of the Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to the robbery at this location. It was reported that a lone male entered the store and demanded all the money from the till. He then fled from the store. No weapons were observed during the robbery and no one was injured. A small amount of cash, cigarettes and food were taken.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5”5”, approx. 25 years of age, clean shaven. Last seen on foot traveling east on Park St.

The Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police, the Grenville County Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Unit attended the scene. The incident remains under investigation.

(Prescott, ON.) – The Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a robbery that took place at Mr. Gas on King St. in the Town of Prescott.

Shortly after 8:15 a.m. on October 3, 2015 members of the Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to the robbery at this location. It was reported that a lone male entered the gas bar and demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk before fleeing from the store. No weapons were observed during the robbery and no one was injured. A small amount of cash and cigarettes were taken.

The suspect is described as male, 5”6” – 5”7”, in his 20’s -30’s, scruffy facial hair, pale, sick looking wearing a grey sweater/jacket.  Last seen on foot traveling west on King St.

The Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police, the Grenville County Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Unit attended the scene. The incident remains under investigation.

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

(South Glengarry) – On October 7, 2015 at approximately 10:35am Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers intercepted a vehicle on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed that a male driver was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident.

John FAIRSERVICE (33) of Greater Napanee, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Recognizance (3 counts)

The male was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court on October 8, 2015.

 

 

(South Glengarry) – On October 7, 2015 at approximately 11:51pm Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers intercepted a pedestrian on Cannon Street, South Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed that a male pedestrian was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident.

John OSMOND (25) of Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Recognizance (2 counts)

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking (2 counts)

The male was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court on October 8, 2015.
