ASSAULT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 12-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on October 16th, 2015 and charged with assault. It is alleged the youth punched another 12-year-old youth several times and police were contacted to investigate. On October 16th, 2015 the youth was arrested, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provisions of the youth criminal justice act.

 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

 

Cornwall, On – Jordan Fedy, 26 of Walkerton was arrested on October 17th, 2015 and charged with possession of Marijuana and cocaine. It is alleged the man was found to be in possession of a quantity of Marijuana and cocaine during a traffic stop on October 17th, 2015. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 10th, 2015.

 

Cornwall, ON – Ricardo Caiemitte, 41 of Chateauguay was arrested on October 17th, 2015 and charged with possession of marijuana and hashish. It is alleged on October 17th, 2015 the man was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana and hashish when he was stopped at the port of entry. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 10th, 2015.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000

 

Cornwall, ON – Sean Mahoney, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on October 18th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on October 2nd, 2015 the man attended a Cornwall Square store and removed a flask making no attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 18th, 2015 the man was taken into custody at his residence, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

IMPAIRED OPERATION

 

Cornwall, On – Brenden Lidder, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on October 18th, 2015 and charge with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. It is alleged on October 18th, 2015 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a drug. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 3rd, 2015.

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Leo Roy, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on October 15th, 2015 and charged with breaching his recognizance for driving a motor vehicle and for failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breaching a probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 15th, 2015 the man was spotted breaching his conditions in the area of Montreal Road by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Charles Cooper, 53 of Cornwall was arrested on October 15th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on June 16th, 2015 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 15th, 2015 the man was located at his residence, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

 

BREACH, REFUSAL

 

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Ingram, 53 of Long Sault was arrested on October 16th, 2015 and charged with breaching his undertaking for having consumed alcohol and also charged with failing to provide a sample of his breath. It is alleged on October 16th, 2015 the man had consumed alcohol and refused to provide a sample of his breath when requested during a traffic stop. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT OF TOOLS

(South Dundas) – On October 16, 2015 at approximately 2:26pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of tools from a vehicle on County Road 18, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that sometime between (October 14-16, 2015) a quantity of tools were removed from an unlocked vehicle on the property.

An investigation continues.

(North Dundas) – On October 17, 2015 at approximately 10:29am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a chainsaw from a shed on Fred Street, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that sometime between (October 14-15, 2015) a “John Serrads” Chainsaw was removed from an shed on the property.

An investigation continues.

THEFT OF DIRT BIKE

(North Dundas) – On October 17, 2015 at approximately 6:21pm, SD&G OPP responded to a report of the theft of a Kids Dirt bike from a property on Henderson Crescent, North Dundas Township.  Investigation indicated that sometime between (October 1-17, 2015) Culprit(s) removed a 1998 Suzuki 50 cc Yellow/White Dirt bike from the property.

The SD&G OPP are asking for the Public’s assistance with these occurrences.  ANYONE HAVING INFORMATION ON THE ABOVE OR ANY CRIME IS ASKED TO CALL SD&G OPP AT 1-888-310-1122 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 1-800-222-8477.

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(North Stormont) – On October 17, 2015 at approximately 5:41 pm, Stormont Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G)   Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Saint Polycarp Street in North Stormont Township.  Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and his common law spouse had occurred. Information was received that the male had assaulted the female victim multiple times during several previous incidents.  The male also threatened the female during the altercations and caused damage to the household and her personal property.

An adult male (43) from North Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

–              Assault

–           Assault with a Weapon

–              Uttering Threats ( 4 counts)

–           Mischief ( 4 Counts)

The male was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court on October 18, 2015.   The names of the accused persons are being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

THEFT OF ATV

(North Glengarry) – On October 18, 2015 at approximately 2:47pm, SD&G OPP responded to a report of the theft of an ATV from a property on County Road 24, North Glengarry Township.  Investigation indicated that sometime between (October 16-18, 2015) Culprit(s) removed a 2013 Green Brute Force Kawasaki ATV (plate # 79ZT3) from the property.

Investigation continues.

THEFT OF LAWN MOWER

(South Glengarry) – On October 18, 2015 at approximately 3:15pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a lawn tractor from a residence on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that sometime between, October 18, 2015 12:00am- 3:00pm, a Honda Fully automatic hydrostatic Push lawn mower was removed from the property.

An investigation continues.

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

(South Dundas) – On October 18, 2015, SD&G OPP officer conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Dundas Townships and intercepted the following vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

– October 18, 2015 – 3:27pm (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 167km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (39) from D’Iberville, Montreal was charged accordingly.

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

(South Stormont) – On October 18, 2015 at approximately 11:23pm Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a suspicious person (male) on Headline Road, South Stormont Township.   Police located the male and an investigation revealed that a male was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident.  The stop also resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana. A check of the male driver revealed his driving privileges have been suspended stemming from previous driving related offences.

Gerald POITRAS (48) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Probation Order (2 counts)

– Drive Disqualified

– Possession of Property obtained by Crime – Under $5000

– Trespass By Night

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

The male was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court on October 19, 2015.

UPDATE – OPP IDENTIFY BODY FOUND NEAR BISHOP MILLS
Need public’s help

(KEMPTVILLE, ON) – Shortly after 6:30 pm on October 14, 2015 members of the Grenville County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a found body in the area of County Road 18 and County Road 20 – east of Bishop Mills in North Grenville.

The male has been identified as 27-year-old Deepak BEAUDOIN-REICHMANN, of Niagara Region who was reported missing by family members on October 5, 2015.

Grenville County OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Peter Donnelly of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), are continuing the investigation  into this suspicious death.‎ Preliminary post mortem results indicate that further testing is required to confirm the cause of death.

Information collected through the investigation indicates that he may have been in the Ottawa area between October 5 through October 9, 2015.

The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

– October 15, 2015 – 12:01pm (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 163km/h (100km/h zone). Female driver (37) from Kissimmee, Florida, USA was charged accordingly.

IMPAIRED DRIVER

(South Dundas) – On October 15, 2015 at approximately 2:16pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers intercepted a vehicle on Broder Crescent, South Dundas Township. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol. Investigation revealed that an adult male driver was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident.

Kevin LOVERIN (53) of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Probation order (2 counts)

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today.

DRUGS SEIZED AT TRAFFIC STOP

(South Glengarry) – On October 15, 2015, SD&G OPP officer conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Glengarry Townships and intercepted the following vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

– October 15, 2015 – 5:13pm (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 182km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (27) from Lachine, Quebec was charged accordingly. Further investigation revealed that the male driver was in possession of a quantity of suspected marihuana.  The male driver also had credit cards in his possession in which he did not own.

Yves UMULISA (27) of Lachine, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

– Possess – Credit Card data

– Stunt Driving – Race a Motor Vehicle (Highway Traffic Act)

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria November 18, 2015.

INDECENT ACT

(South Dundas) – On October 16, 2015 at approximately 7:17am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an indecent act incident on Canada Way, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an adult male had been observed performing an indecent act while sitting in his car by a community member.  The adult male was removed from the car without incident and also was found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected marihuana.

Nick BROEREN (26) of North Dundas was arrested and is charged with;

– Indecent Act – Public Place

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg November 17, 2015.

WARRANT EXECUTED – DRUGS SEIZED

(South Glengarry) October 15th 2015, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), Community Drug Action Team – and members of the Emergency Response team (ERT) executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Search Warrant on a residence in the Village of Green Valley. This resulted in the seizure of a pepper spray canister, a quantity of Methamphetamines, Cocaine, MDMA, LSD and marihuana.

Simon LABRE (30) of South Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

–  Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking ( 5 counts)

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

– Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon

– Possession of Property obtained by crime

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Probation order (2 counts)

Hope VANDERHAEGHE (23) of South Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

–  Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking ( 5 counts)

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

– Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon

– Possession of Property obtained by crime

LABRE was held for a Bail Hearing in Cornwall on the 16th of October 2015.

VANDERHAEGHE was released scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on 9th of December 2015.
