UPDATE – MALE ARRESTED IN BEAUDOIN-REICHMANN INVESTIGATION

Suspect facing charges

(KEMPTVILLE, ON) – The Grenville County Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), under the direction of Detective Inspector Peter Donnelly of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), are continuing their investigation into the suspicious death of 27-year-old Deepak BEAUDOIN-REICHMANN, of Niagara Region, who was reported missing by family members on October 5, 2015.

As a result of that investigation, on October 27, 2015, investigators arrested a 26-year-old male of Ottawa, ON in relation to the death investigation.  He is presently in custody, facing a charge of:

·         Indignity to a Dead Body

The body of Beaudoin-Reichmann was discovered deceased shortly before 6:30 pm on October 14, 2015 in the area of County Road 18 and County Road 20 – east of Bishop Mills in North Grenville. The cause of death has yet to be determined. Police are still searching for 2 other men in relation to a pick-up truck seen in the area where his body was recovered.

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATIONS

(North Glengarry) – On October 26, 2015 SD&G OPP began an investigation into a report of a domestic related incident at a residence on Main Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that male youth had repetitively harassed his ex-girlfriend over the previous months.

A 17-year-old male from South Glengarry was arrested and is charged with;

– Criminal Harassment
– Mischief – Domestic (vehicle)

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on December 1, 2015. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim and per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

(North Glengarry) – On October 26, 2015 at approximately 8:46am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a property on Dominion Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a male and his girlfriend resulted in the female being assaulted. Damage was also caused to parked vehicles.

An 18-year-old male from North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault – Spousal
– Mischief Under $5000 (4 counts)

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

 

THEFT OF BATTERIES

(North Dundas) – Over the past weekend (23-25Oct15) culprit(s) attended the North Dundas Township property on County Road 43 and removed six (6) batteries from vehicles.

An investigation continues.
