Cornwall Ontario Man Charged With Assaulting Girlfriend with Brass Knuckles DEC 4, 2015

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, UNAUTHORISED POSSESSION OF A WEAPON, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 3rd, 2015 and charged with assault with a weapon, unauthorised possession of a weapon and four counts of breach of probation. It is alleged during an argument on November 22nd, 2015 with his 18-year-old girlfriend the man struck her with brass knuckles and police were contacted to investigate. On December 3rd, 2015 the man was located at his residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000

 

Cornwall, ON – Steven Durocher, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on December 3rd, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on December 1st, 2015 the man entered a Second Street West store and removed a pair of skates making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 3rd, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 29th, 2015.

 

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS, BREACH, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, MISCHIEF

 

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on December 3rd, 2015 and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, threats, mischief and three counts of breach of probation. It is alleged during an argument on December 3rd, 2015 the youth threatened her boyfriend, threw a bottle at him, held a knife towards him and damaged a friend’s car. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
