Police Stand Off vs Empty Location Again in Cornwall Ontario – Police Blotter DEC 20, 2015 CCPS

BARRICADED PERSON

 

Cornwall, ON – In the early morning hours of December 18th, 2015 the Cornwall Community Police Service attended a Cariere Street address to investigate an incident which occurred. During their investigation information was received that Fritzner Moise, who is wanted by Montreal Police for attempt murder may be within the residence. Police contained the residence until appropriate resources were available and a nearby school was put on “hold and Secure” as precautionary measure. At approximately 2:25 pm the Emergency Response Team entered and cleared the residence. No one was found inside the residence and an investigation is ongoing. The nature of the investigation and specific address was not disclosed in an attempt to protect the identity of the victim. The Cornwall Community Police Service would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding during this time.

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 54-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 16th, 2015 and charged with breach of recognizance for communicating with his girlfriend, being within 200 meters of where she might be and failing to notify a change of address. It is alleged on December 15th, 2015 the man attended his girlfriend’s residence despite his conditions and police were contacted to investigate. On December 16th, 2015 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

MISCHIEF, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 16th, 2015 and charged with mischief, possession of a controlled substance, three counts of breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and one count for communicating with his girlfriend. It is alleged on December 16th, 2015 the man attended his girlfriend`s residence, damaged her DVD player and police were contacted to investigate. On December 16th, 2015 the man who had left the scene prior to police arrival was spotted walking in the area of First Street East. He was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 15th, 2015 and charged with breach of undertaking for communicating with and being with his 27-year-old girlfriend despite being on conditions. H was also charged with failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man attended his girlfriend’s residence on December 13th, 2015 despite his conditions and police were contacted to investigate. On December 15th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

ASSAULT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman both from Cornwall were arrested on December 15th, 2015 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on December 15th, 2015 the woman struck her 21-year-old boyfriend who was also struck by the 25-year-old man known to them. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation both were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 12th, 2016. Their names were not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

Cornwall, ON – Krystal Plouffe, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on December 15th, 2015 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on November 26th, 2015 the woman pushed a 29-year-old woman known to her and police were contacted to investigate. On December 15th, 2015 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 12th, 2016.

OPP

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATIONS

(North Glengarry) – On December 17, 2015 – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation into a reported domestic situation which occurred on December 16, 2015 at a residence on Dominion Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a female and her boyfriend resulted in the male being assaulted. Another adult male present threatened the victim also.

A 21-year-old female from North Glengarry is wanted for;

– Assault – Spousal

A 20-year-old male was arrested and is charged with;

– Utter Threats

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (December 18, 2015). The names of the accused persons are not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

(North Glengarry) – On December 17, 2015 at approximately 5:10pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Kenyon Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a male and his ex-spouse resulted in the female being threatened and damage caused to the home. Upon arrest, the accused became resistant with officers.

The 43-year-old male is charged with;

– Utter Threats (2 counts)
– Mischief – Domestic
– Resist Peace Officer

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (December 18, 2015). The name of the accused person is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

DRUGS SEIZED AT RIDE

(North Dundas) – On December 17, 2015 at approximately 8:39pm, SD&G OPP officers were conducting Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) spot checks on County Road 31, North Dundas Township. The check of a vehicle resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana.

The male driver, Trevor GILMER (29) of North Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on February 2, 2016.
