OPP Report Christmas Thieving in South Stormont & South Glengarry DEC 23, 2015

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(North Glengarry) – On December 22, 2015 at approximately 3:22pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Main Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a male and his girlfriend resulted in both assaulting each other.

A 17-year-old male and 18-year-old female were arrested an each charged with;

– Assault – Spousal

Both were released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 26, 2016. Their names are not being released in order to protect their identities as victims.

THEFTS

(South Stormont) –  Overnight (December 21-22) a vehicle was entered while parked at a residence on Ouellette Avenue, South Stormont Township. Inside, wrapped gifts (Xbox, games and candy) were removed.

Overnight (December 21-22) a vehicle was forcibly (broken window) entered while parked at a residence on Saunders Drive, South Stormont Township. Inside, two (2) laptop computers were removed.

Overnight (December 21-22) a garage was entered at a residence on Saunders Drive, South Stormont Township. A quantity of cash was taken.

Overnight (December 21-22) a garage was entered at a residence on Cornwall Centre Road, South Stormont Township. A snowblower and food item (frozen turkey) were taken.
(South Glengarry) – Overnight (December 21-22) four (4) homemade wreaths were taken from a property on County Road 34, South Glengarry Township. All were approximately 3’ in diameter and were displayed on a garage.
