OPP ALERT Hwy 7 Closed Until 1 PM Near Carleton Place After Collision DEC 30, 2015

HIGHWAY 7 CLOSED CARLETON PLACE. SERIOUS COLLISION.
(Town of Carleton Place, ON) – Officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are actively investigating a serious collision at the intersection of Provincial Highway 7 and County Road 15.

Police were called to the scene at 08.21am on Wednesday 30th December 2015.

Diversions are now in place but drivers are requested to avoid the area and plan alternative routes before setting out. There will be delays.

The roads are not expected to be opened before 1.00pm.

CARLETON PLACE. SERIOUS COLLISION (UPDATE #1).
(Town of Carleton Place, ON) – Officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continue the investigation a serious collision at the intersection of Provincial Highways 7 and 15.

It is confirmed that the collision resulted in a single fatality.

Police were called to the scene at 08.21am on Wednesday 30th December 2015.

Diversions are now in place but drivers are requested to avoid the area and plan alternative routes before setting out. There will be delays.

Diversions:

In Carleton Place, Townline Road and McNeeley Road and there is no access to Highway 7 from Napoleon Street.

Highway 15 is closed at 9th Line of Beckwith for east and west bound detours.
