BREACH OF CONDITIONS

(North Dundas) – On January 18, 2016 at approximately 9:54 pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a youth breaching his release conditions in North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated a male youth was in contravention of previous release conditions.(Attend Educational/Vocational/ or Work program)

The 16-year-old male from North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Undertaking YCJA (2 Count)

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

The name of the accused is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

THEFTS

(South Dundas) – On January 18, 2016 at approximately 3:30pm, SD&G OPP responded to a report of the theft of cash from a property ( Morrisburg Curling Club) on Ontario Street, South Dundas Township.  Investigation indicated that sometime between (1:00pm- 3:00pm on January 18th 2016) suspects removed cash and boots from a locker.

An Investigation continues.

(Kemptville, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), the OPP Community Drug Action Team executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Search Warrant at a residence east of the Town of Kemptville.

At 11:30 am on this date, police entered 272 Riverview Lane, Kemptville and seized a quantity of marihuana, hash and cocaine.

Michael MUNTEAN, age 60 of Kemptville was arrested and charged with production of marihuana, possession of schedule 2 (marihuana) for the purpose of trafficking, possession of hash and possession of cocaine with a total street value of over $300,000.00.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice of Ontario in Kemptville on March 2nd, 2016.

 

O.P.P. January 11 – January 18, 2016

(Prescott, ON.) –Members of the Prescott Detachment of the Grenville County O.P.P. responded to a total of 116 calls for service from January 11th to January 18th, 2016 inclusive. Included in the 116 for calls for service were 44 in the Town of Prescott, 25 in Augusta Township, 24 in the Township of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal, 11 on the 416 and 12 on the 401Highway.

Break and Enter, Theft, Breach of Probation

Augusta Township

On the 16th of January 2016 members of the Grenville County OPP, Prescott Detachment arrested a 17year old male youth from Augusta Township for the offences of Break and Enter, Theft and Breach of Probation. On the 16th of January the youth had was observed breaking into a locked room inside a Retirement home in Augusta Township. On January 6th, 2016 the youth was caught stealing items from a vehicle located on McCrea Road in Augusta Township. The 17 year old youth has been charged with Fail to Comply with Probation Order X 2, Break, Enter with the intent to commit and indictable offence, Theft under $5000 from a motor vehicle. The youth was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Town of Prescott

On January 15th, 2016 just after 10:30 pm police were called to an apartment complex on King St. in the Town of Prescott. for a male outside screaming and yelling and causing a disturbance. Upon arrival police learned this same person had just left the building after he had used a set of brass knuckles to punch several holes in the wall of the apartment building hallway. As a result of the information police arrested a 28 year old male from Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Township. This male was found to be in possession of a methamphetamine and was subsequently charged with, Possession of schedule 1 substance (methamphetamine), carrying a concealed weapon, Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a weapon and Breach of an undertaking, he is to appear in Brockville Court at a later date.
