  1. This story has been all over Ottawa’s papers and the 65 year old man is a former teacher in Almonte a town of 5000 people outside of Ottawa in the southwest end and he adopted 3 girls and one is his own. One of the adopted girls Sarah had a common law husband that she had 2 children with and the common law husband shot the 65 year old man who was also a well liked counsellor and former teacher. The people of the tiny town are in shock. This news is two or three days old. The woman who was shot was the common law wife of the shooter who has a criminal record. The wife of the 65 year old man ran upstairs with the grandchildren seeking safety and the shooter turned the gun on himself. This lsure is a switch from Ottawa’s gang bangers. There is no safe place anymore because the society is very mentally ill.
