Shooting investigation on Selby Avenue

 

 (Ottawa)— At approximately 12:00am on February 28th, the Ottawa Police Service responded to a call for service about a shooting at a residence in the 300 block of Selby Avenue. Upon arrival, patrol officers located several spent shell casings in the laneway of the residence as well as multiple bullet holes in the front bay window.

The resident, who was sleeping at the time was not injured and called 911 after hearing breaking glass. There are no suspects at this time and the Guns and Gangs Unit is currently investigating.

  1. We almost rented an apartment on Byron Avenue near where the shooting took place. God sent us to the right place where my kids were born and this building has a lot of memories. We even have the old cupboards in all rooms same with the closets. On Byron the place had no closets and the kitchen was half the size of the one I have now which is mighty small. We lived in many places but this is still the best. Ottawa is full of gangs and not a place to live like before.
