Driving on Drugs Charge in Cornwall Ontario #CCPS Police Blotter MARCH 7, 2016

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 59-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 3rd, 2016 and charged with mischief. It is alleged during an argument on March 3rd, 2016 with his 66-year-old girlfriend the man damage a door and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

MISCHIEF, TRESPASS BY NIGHT, OBSTRUCT, PERSONATION

Cornwall, ON – Nicholas Visitor, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on March 3rd, 2016 and charged with trespass by night, obstruct police, personation, mischief and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 3rd, 2016 the intoxicated man attended a Carleton Street address and would not leave the property when requested by the resident. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody and falsely identified himself to police as someone else. He was transported to police headquarters where he caused a toilette to overflow. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old Cornwall man and a 47-year-old Cornwall woman were arrested on March 4th, 2016 and charged with several breaches. It is alleged on March 4th, 2016 police attended a Guy Street residence for a disturbance and found the man was in breach three separate probation orders for having communicated with someone he has conditions not to communicate with and attending her residence also for failing to keep the peace. The investigation also revealed that the woman was in breach of her recognizance for having left her residence and being in possession of alcohol. Both were taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Their names were not released as the conditions stem from domestic incidents and would identify the victim.

Cornwall, ON – Sherri Hummell, 32 of Cornwall was arrested on March 4th, 2016 and charged with breach of undertaking for having called 911 for a non emergency matter and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 4th, 2016 the woman contacted police by way of 911 for no apparent reason despite being on conditions not to call 911 unless it is a legitimate life threatening matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Lauzon, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on March 4th, 2016 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 4th, 2016 the man attended a Ninth Street store and removed merchandise making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store. He was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 7th, 2016.

IMPAIRED OPERATION

Cornwall, ON – Richard Leblanc, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on March 4th, 2016 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. It is alleged on March 4th, 2016 the man was operating a motor while under the influence of drugs in the area of Power Dam Drive. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 16th, 2016.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Gerard Cook, 53 of Cornwall was arrested on March 5th, 2016 and charged with breach of probation for being outside his residence after having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 5th, 2016 the intoxicated man was spotted walking on Pitt Street by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Jarett Derochie, 19 of no fixed address was arrested on March 5th, 2016 and charged with breaching his recognizance for being out past curfew and not residing with his surety. It is alleged the man was in breach of his conditions when he was stopped by police in the early morning hours of March 5th, 2016. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 5th, 2016 and charged with threats and breach of undertaking and probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument on March 5th, 2016 the youth threatened to kill her mother and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 5th, 2016 and charged with mischief and breach of probation for failing to abide by house rules and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument on March 5th, 2016 the youth damaged the house phone and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

UTTER FORGED DOCUMENT, BREACH, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Cornwall, ON – Jody Burgess, 47 of Cornwall was arrested on March 6th, 2016 and charged with two counts of uttering a forged document, two counts of breach of recognizance for being in possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged on February 23rd, 2016 the man used a fraudulent prescription to obtain a quantity of Hydrocodone. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation it was also learned that the man attempted to use another fraudulent prescription at another location. On March 6th, 2016 the man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Amanda Lalonde, 31 of Cornwall was arrested on March 6th, 2016 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged while visiting a man known to her the woman removed his i Phone and IPad. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the woman was spotted in the area of Louisa Street and Prince Arthur Street. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 29th, 2016.
