Drug Bust in Chesterville Ontario #OPP March 10, 2016

DRUGS SEIZED

(North Dundas) – On March 9, 2016 at approximately 11:11pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers intercepted two (2) males on Victoria Street in the Village of Chesterville, North Dundas Township. As a result, quantities of suspected marihuana and cocaine were seized.

Kegan BARTON (22) of South Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)

Michael CASSELMAN (20) of North Dundas Township was arrested and charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

Both were released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on April 5, 2016.

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

(South Glengarry) – On March 9, 2016 at approximately 10:31pm, an SD&G OPP officer intercepted a vehicle on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. A check of the adult male driver revealed that he was in contravention of conditions (house arrest – keep the peace) imposed from previous incidents.

Aaron ROBINSON (25) of Scarborough, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Recognizance
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall this date (10Mar16).

THEFT FROM VEHICLES

(North Dundas) – Overnight (March 8-9, 2016) several vehicles were entered while parked at residences on Joseph and Victoria Streets in the Village of Chesterville, North Dundas Township. Cash and personal items were removed.

Vehicle owners are reminded to lock their vehicles at all times and secure any valuables…”Lock it or Lose it”!
