SD&G OPP Chesterville Woman Charged With Assault MARCH 30, 2016

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

(South Glengarry) – On March 30, 2016 at approximately 2:16am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers intercepted a vehicle on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township. A check of the adult male driver indicated that he was in contravention of conditions (non-communication order) from a previous incident. Upon his arrest, a quantity of suspected marihuana was also seized.

The 26-year-old from Cornwall, Ontario is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Recognizance (2 counts)
– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (March 30, 2016). His name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim from the previous incident.

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(North Dund as) – On March 29, 2016 at approximately 4:13pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in the Village of Chesterville, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult female and he spouse resulted in the male being assaulted.

The 30-year-old female from North Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault

She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on April 19, 2016. Her name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
