Busy Weekend for SD&G #OPP Round Up APRIL 18, 2016

DRUGS SEIZED

(South Dundas) – On April 17, 2016 at approximately 2:31pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Highway 401, South Dundas Township. The fire was supressed without incident. A check of the adult male driver revealed he was in contravention of several conditions (not to possess cell phone, drugs & keep the peace). Upon his arrest, a quantity of suspected amphetamines and cocaine was seized.

Mathieu PETTIGREW-BUSSIERE (26) of Trois-Rivieres, Quebec is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (amphetamine pills)
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (cocaine)
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance (3 counts)

He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
(South Glengarry) – On April 17, 2016 at approximately 8:00pm, an SD&G OPP officer intercepted a vehicle on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana.

The male driver, Michel POLAKOVA (30) of Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on July 8, 2016.

IMPAIRED DRIVER

(South Glengarry) – On April 17, 2016 at approximately 12:29am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a vehicle in the ditch on the 4th Line Road, South Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed that the male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Marc JOHNSTON (51) of Sainte-Marthe Sur le Lac, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample
– Care or Control While Impaired by Alcohol

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on April 26, 2016.
DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(South Dundas) – On April 16, 2016 at approximately 1:29am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in the Village of Iroquois, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a female and her common-law spouse resulted in the male being assaulted.

The 27-year-old female from South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault – Spousal
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order

She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on May 3, 2017. Her name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

STOLEN VEHICLE

(South Stormont) – Overnight (April 16-17, 2016) a grey 2006 Mercedes Smart Car was taken while parked at a residence on County Road 18, South Stormont Township.

An investigation continues.

MISCHIEFS

(South Stormont) – Overnight (April 16-17, 2016) culprit(s) smashed the windshield of an unattended vehicle at a residence on Ouellette Avenue, South Stormont Township.

(South Dundas) – Overnight (April 16-17, 2016) culprit(s) egged an unattended vehicle at a residence on County Road 31, South Dundas Township.
An investigation continues.
