Facebook Threats Lead to Charges for Cornwall Ontario Man – APRIL 27, 2016

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 26th, 2016 and charged with threats. It is alleged the man threatened his ex-girlfriend by way of Facebook messages and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Cornwall, ON – Devon MacDonald, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on April 25th, 2016 and charged with breach of undertaking and possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged the man was wanted by CCPS for breach of undertaking and on April 25th, 2016 the man was located by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kassidy Normandeau, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on April 25th, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on April 19th, 2016 and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 25th, 2016 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
