Cougar Damages Boy Toys Fishing Rod in Cornwall Ontario MAY 17, 2016

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTACE, POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, PROCEEDS OF CRIME

 

Cornwall, ON – Brandon Dupuis, 21 and Alexandra Peyton, 26 both of Cornwall were arrested on May 13th, 2016 and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and proceeds of crime. It is alleged on May 13th, 2016 both were found to be in the possession of quantity of cocaine and cash during a traffic stop. Both were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

 

IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80

 

Cornwall, ON – Korrie Grant, 36 of Cornwall, was arrested on May 13th, 2016 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on May 13th, 2016 the woman was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Fourteenth Street and Brookdale Avenue. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 24th, 2016.

 

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

 

Cornwall, ON – Mackenzie Gervais, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on May 14th, 2016 and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged during an argument in the early morning hours of May 14th, 2016 the man struck another man with an object and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was located by police a short distance away, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

MISCHIEF, THEFT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

 

Cornwall, On – A 35-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested and charged with mischief and assault with a weapon. Her 25-year-old boyfriend was also arrested and charged with theft under $5000 and mischief. It is alleged during arguments on May 13th and May 14th, 2016 the woman damaged her boyfriends’ fishing rod, stereo and struck him with a boot. The man is alleged to have taken some money from the woman and damaged some of her property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation both were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

 

ASSAULT, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

 

Cornwall, On – A 41-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 14th, 2016 and charged with assault and possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged during an argument on May 14th, 2016 the woman punched her 32-year-old boyfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

REFUSAL

 

Cornwall, ON – Joshua Labelle, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on May 15th, 2016 and charged with refusal. It is alleged on May 15th, 2016 the man failed to provide a proper sample of his breath during a traffic stop. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

 

ASSAULT, THREATS, MISCHIEF

 

Cornwall, ON – A 38-yearold Cornwall man was arrested on May 15th, 2016 and charged with mischief, assault and threats. It is alleged during an argument on May 15th, 2016 the man pushed his girlfriend against the wall, damaged a door and threatened to harm her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 14th, 2016. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

ASSAULT

 

Cornwall, ON – Kasandra Paauw, 19 was arrested on May 15th, 2016 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on May 15th, 2016 the woman grabbed a 63-year-old woman known to her and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

MISCHIEF, THREATS

 

Cornwall, ON – Nicholas Rigakis, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on May 15th, 2016 and charged with mischief and threats. It is alleged during an argument at a local parking lot on May 15th, 2016 the man took the license plate off a 69-year-old man’s car and threatened him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

 

 

BREACH, CARRY CONSEALED WEAPON, UNAUTHORISED POSSESSION OF AMUNITION

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Williamstown youth was arrested on May 16th, 2016 and charged with breach of probation, carry a concealed weapon and possession of unauthorised ammunition. It is alleged on May 16th, 2016 while investigating an unrelated matter police found the youth in breach of her probation order for being in the possession of ammunition without a permit and a knife. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

THREATS

 

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on May 16th, 2016 and charged with threats. It is alleged during a sports event at a local school the youth threatened to kill another student and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
