SD&G #OPP Round Up for May 24, 2016

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(South Dundas) – On May 20, 2016 at approximately 9:39am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Victoria Park Crescent, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult female and her common law husband resulted in the male stealing property from the female. The accused also was in contravention of previous release conditions.

The 46-year-old male from South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Theft Under $5000

– Fail To Comply with Probation Order

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

Mischief

(North Dundas) – On May 20, 2016 at approximately 3:43pm Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in North Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that a male youth had caused damage to his family’s home.

The 16-year-old male of North Dundas was arrested and is charged with;

– Mischief – Under $5000

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg July 05, 2016. The name of the accused is being withheld as per guidelines of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

Assault

(South Stormont) – On May 20, 2016 at approximately 4:55pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to report of a family dispute at a residence on Maxwell Avenue, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that a male youth had assaulted  a family  member and was therefore in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident.

The 18-year-old was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault

-Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

– Fail to Comply Sentence (2 counts – Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA)

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld in accordance to the provisions of the YCJA.

IMPAIRED DRIVERS INTERCEPTED

(South Dundas) – On May 22, 2016 at approximately 8:21pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a RIDE Program (Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere) on County Road 18 in South Dundas Township. Investigation revealed an adult female driver of one of the vehicles was under the influence of alcohol.

Charlotte IGGSTROM (45) of Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol

– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood

She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on June 7, 2016.

(North Stormont) – On May 22, 2016 at approximately 1:12am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a Single motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Fourth Line Road and County Road 15  North Stormont Township. Investigation revealed the adult male driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol.

Richard NEVILLE (34) of Calgary, Alberta was arrested and is charged with;

– Care or Control While Impaired by Alcohol

– Care or Control a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on June 16, 2016.

THEFT OF TRUCK

(North Dundas) – On May 22, 2016 – SD&G OPP began an investigation into a report of a theft of a Pick-up truck from a residence located on County Road 43, North Dundas Township (Winchester). Investigation indicated that overnight May 21-22 2016, a Silver Birch 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, with plate “CUBBY”  was stolen.

An investigation continues.
