Erratic motorcycle driver to be identified – with photo

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, June 16, 2016     1:25 pm

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify an erratic motorcycle driver that has been creating safety hazards on our roadways.

On numerous counts in June 2016, the Ottawa Police Service and the Ottawa Region OPP have investigated public complaints of a motorcycle driver who drives erratically in traffic.

The driver also brandished a handgun to other vehicles that did not give enough room for passing.

The motorcycle has been seen mostly in the West end of Ottawa. The most recent sighting was in the Dwyer Hill Road / Hwy 7 area around 9:40am this morning.

Police are looking for the driver of a Red Honda CBR.  There is no suspect description except that the helmet is black. (see picture of suspect and motorcycle)

The license plate has either been missing from the motorcycle or has been found to be a fake.

If you see this motorcycle, please do not confront the driver, immediately call 911.
