ROBBERY, ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM

 

Cornwall, ON – Chad Lafave, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on June 16th, 2016 and charged with robbery and assault cause bodily harm. It is alleged on June 15th, 2016 during a disagreement over property the man struck a man known to him in the face with an object and took his computer. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 16th, 2016 Lafave was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

MISCHIEF, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 16th, 2016 and charged with mischief and breach of probation for being out past curfew and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during arguments in the month of June, 2016 with his ex-girlfriend the man damaged the walls in the residence on two occasions and police were contacted to investigate. It is also alleged that another investigation was ongoing in relation to breaches. On June 16th, 2016 the man was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

ASSAULT, THREATS

 

Cornwall, ON – A 56-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 16th, 2016 and charged with assault and threats. It is alleged during arguments on June 15th and 26th, 2016 the man threatened and pushed his 67-year-old common-law wife and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

 

Cornwall, ON – Richard Eaket, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on June 17th, 2016 and charged with possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged on June 17th, 2016 the man was taken into custody for being intoxicated in a public place and found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.
