Mailbox Damage in North Glengarry SD&G OPP Round Up for June 28, 2016

MISCHIEF

(North Glengarry) – During the evening or early morning hours of June 23 and 24, 2016 officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) – Stormont Dundas and Glengarry detachment responded to a report of damaged mailboxes along Concession Road 6, North Glengarry Township.

Suspects are unknown at this time and the investigation is continuing.

TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT

(North Dundas) – On June 27, 2016 at 09:25 am, Stormont Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle on Main Street in the village of Winchester, North Dundas Township for a Highway Traffic Act violation.

The driver, 29 year old Sarah MARSHAL of North Dundas Township is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Drive while under suspension

She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice –Provincial Offences Court, Cornwall, ON for August 23, 2016.

THEFTS

(South Glengarry) – On June 27, 2016 SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of theft from a motor vehicle at a residence in South Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed that sometime overnight, unknown suspect(s) broke into a pick-up truck and stole hand and power tools from inside the cab.

An investigation continues.

(North Glengarry) – On June 27, 2016 SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of theft from a residence in North Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed that between  June 24 and  June 26, 2016, unknown suspect(s) broke into a tractor and stole tools from inside the tractor cab.

An investigation continues.

(North Dundas) – On June 27, 2016 SD&G OPP officer responded to a report of theft from a residence on John Street, North Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that between June 24 to June 26, 2016 unknown suspect(s) stole the BBQ propane tank from the yard

An investigation continues.

(North Glengarry) – On June 27, 2016 SD&G OPP officer responded to a report of theft of trailer from a residence on County Road 30, North Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed sometime between noon and 4 pm unknown suspect(s) stole a 14 foot utility trailer with galvanized sides with Ontario license plate N4365P.

An investigation continues.

CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS 

(North Stormont) – On June 27, 2016 at approximately 5:34 pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a family dispute at a residence on Chapel Hill Road in North Stormont Township where a physical altercation had taken place.

A 42-year-old male from North Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault
He is scheduled to attend bail court at Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on June 28th, 2016. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim involved.
