Another Marijuana Bust in South Stormont SD&G OPP July 6, 2016

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(South Glengarry) – On July 4, 2016 at approximately 9:17pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Delia Street, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult female and her boyfriend resulted in the male being assaulted. The accused also caused damage to a door of the home.

The 49-year-old female was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault
– Mischief – Domestic

She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on July 12, 2016. Her name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
DRUGS SEIZED

(South Stormont) – On July 5, 2016 at approximately 3:34pm, an OPP Highway Safety Division (HSD) officer intercepted a vehicle on County Road 44, South Stormont Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana.

The male driver, Andrew MCKENZIE (46) of Gatineau, Quebec and female passenger, Cindy BELAIR-GROULX (26) of Buckingham, Quebec were both arrested and each charged with;

– Trafficking a Controlled Substance – Cannabis Marihuana Under 3 Kilograms
– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Over 30 Grams]

Both were released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on August 11, 2016.
