BRIAN BURKE of OTTAWA Charged With DUI After Tow Call JULY 11, 2016

(PRESCOTT OPP) – On the 8nd  of July 2016 at 8:30pm, members of the Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the 416 Highway, in Edwardsburgh Township. At this location, a Ford Explorer had run out of gas.

Initially, a local tow company had attended to assist the driver. The tow operator quickly realized the driver of the motor vehicle appeared impaired by alcohol and contacted police.

The male driver, identified as Brian BURKE, age 50 of Ottawa ON was charged with :

  • Care or Control while impaired (alcohol and drug), Criminal Code of Canada
  • Care or control over 80mgs , Criminal Code of Canada

The accused was released from custody with a Promise to Appear at Ontario Court of Justice, Brockville on the 12th of August, 2016.

The Grenville County OPP encourages the public to play a role in keeping our roads and waterways safe by calling 911 and reporting suspected impaired drivers to Police.
