Forgery in Cornwall Ontario – Police Blotter #CCPS July 27, 2016

ASSAULT, THREATS, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 26th, 2016 and charged with assault, threats and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument on July 24th, 2016 the man punched his 56-year-old girlfriend and threatened to harm her if she called police. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 26th, 2016 the man was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

FRAUD UNDER $5000, UTTER FORGED DOCUMENT

 

Cornwall, ON – Pierre Brunet, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on July 26th, 2016 and charged with two counts of fraud under $5000 and two counts of utter forged document. It is alleged between August and October, 2015 the man endorsed and deposited cheques that did not belong to him and police were contacted to investigate. On July 26th, 2016 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 1st, 2016.

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – John Gallant, 39 of Cornwall was arrested on July 26th, 2016 and charged with breach of probation and undertaking for consuming alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged police attended a Montreal Road address for a disturbance and found the intoxicated man in breach of his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

  1. Mr. Brunet would do well to buy a sports team, run for Cornwall City Council, and maybe work for Sgt. Joe Anthony if he expects to beat this rap.
