Fire Department Responds to a Structure Fire
The Event
At 02:35 am, on Thursday August 4th, a call was received by the 911 operator advising of a house fire on the 200 block on Alice Street.
The Response
The Fire Services Department responded with 5 vehicles from 2 stations. A total of 14 fire personnel were at the scene.
The Summary
The fire was extinguished with no injuries or loss of life. The incident was concluded at 06:30 am.
The fire was limited to the fire unit of the 6-plex due to the aggressive interior fire attack by the initial crew on scene. One firefighter was assessed on scene by EMS paramedics on scene as a precaution and did not seek further attention. Nine people were displaced as a result of the 6-plex fire.
