POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY

 

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on August 4th, 2016 and charged with possession of stolen property. It is alleged on August 3rd, 2016 the youth sold a GPS unit that had been taken from a parked truck sometime between July 28th and 29th, 2016. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Shawna Chartrand, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on August 3rd, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to report to police on May 29th, 2016 and a warrant was obtained as her whereabouts was unknown. On August 3rd, 2016 members of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended a Quebec institution as the woman was in custody on unrelated matters. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

 

ASSAULT, THREATS TO LIFE

 

Cornwall, ON – Joshua Viau-Seguin, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on August 3rd, 2016 and charged with assault and threats to life. It is alleged during an argument on August 3rd, 2016 the intoxicated man punched and threatened a 35-year-old man and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
