OPP Bag Cottage Crashers Near Perth Ontario AUG 19, 2016

UNWANTED COTTAGERS RESULT IN ARREST

(Lanark Highlands, ON) – On Thursday, August 18, 2016, at 9:45 a.m. officers from Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Lanark County detachment attended River Road, Lanark Highlands in response to unwanted person(s) at a cottage property.

Upon police arriving on scene, a black Ford pick-up truck, occupied by a male driver and a female passenger, drove off of the cottage property and entered into the Mississippi River.

The truck, with the occupants inside, remained in the Mississippi River overnight.

At approximately 6:15 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016, the two accused occupants were arrested and taken into custody without incident.

As a result of this investigation – 22 year old, Kirsten FOURNIER of Ottawa, is charged with one count of Obstruct Peace Officer.  She was later released, with a Promise To Appear at Ontario Court of Justice, Perth on August 26, 2016.

The driver, 29 year old, James Hugh LAMB of Ottawa is charged with one count each of Obstruct Peace Officer, Fail To Comply with Recognizance, Mischief – Under $5000 and Causing A Disturbance.

He was held in custody pending the outcome of Bail Hearing at Ontario Court of Justice, Perth on Tuesday, August 23, 2016.
