Charges in sexual assault investigation involving a minor
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section has charged an Ottawa man following an investigation into an allegation of Sexual Assault involving a 10-year old girl.
On September 28th, 2016 the Ottawa Police received a complaint that a man had broken into a building in the rural area off of Bank Street and south of Leitrim Road and sexually assaulted a ten year old girl who was not known to him.
An investigation was commenced by SACA and resulted in an arrest.
Chris ROSE, 45, of Ottawa has been charged with sexual assault and break and enter. Rose appeared in court today and was released on his own recognisance and is awaiting his next court date.
Sexual Assault and Child Abuse investigators are concerned there could be other victims.
