CORNWALL ONTARIO — The Nationals have added local defenceman Jonathan Jasper two days before their first Federal Hockey League home opener.

The 24-year-old from Williamstown will suit up for Cornwall on Sunday afternoon when they host the Danville Dashers at the Civic Complex. The puck drops at 1 p.m.

After four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Kitchener Rangers and Peterborough Petes, the 6-foot-3, 200 lb. Jasper suited up for the Cornwall River Kings for four seasons. In 90 LNAH contests, Jasper chipped in 26 points and 123 penalty minutes.

Jasper is also a former Cornwall Colt.

Tickets for Sunday’s game are $13 for adults, $10 for seniors/students and $5 for children ages 12 and under. Kids wearing a Halloween costume to the game will be entered into a draw for great prizes.
