Stabbing in Sandy Hill

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, October 31, 2016, 1:15 am

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a stabbing that occurred at approximately 9:49 pm on the 30th of October, 2016. The stabbing occurred within the 200 block of Somerset Street East.

Patrol officers arrived at the location and identified two adult males who had been stabbed. The males were transported to hospital by ambulance. The males’ injuries were considered non-life threatening. There are no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

Investigators with the Central Criminal Investigation Directorate are taking carriage of the investigation.

Second Stabbing in Sandy Hill

 

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a stabbing that occurred at approximately 22:40 hrs. on the 30th of October, 2016. The stabbing occurred within the 100 block of Osgoode St.

Patrol officers arrived on scene and located one adult male victim that had been stabbed while in his residence. He was treated at the scene by paramedics. His injuries were considered non-life-threatening.

There are no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

This stabbing was not related in any way to the stabbing that occurred earlier in the evening on Somerset St. E.

Investigators with the Central Criminal Investigation Directorate are taking carriage of the investigation.
