Province Partners with Evotech Industrial Coatings to Help Create Jobs

The province’s partnership with Evotech Industrial Coatings has helped relocate its manufacturing operations to Ontario and expand its business, creating 20 new jobs in Cornwall.

Evotech Industrial Coatings is a leading manufacturer of industrial coatings used in a variety of products such as doors, windows, commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. Based in Quebec, the company has established a new manufacturing facility in Ontario with support from the province.

The new facility is equipped with innovative technology to develop and manufacture environmentally friendly and more sustainable water-based products. Cornwall is also a strategic location for the company to reach its North American customer base.

  • Ontario invested $380,675 from the Eastern Ontario Development Fund for this project. The project has a total value of more than $3.8 million and was completed on October 31, 2016.
  • Since 2013, the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund and Eastern Ontario Development Fund have helped to create and retain more than 32,100 jobs and attracted approximately $1.58 billion in investment. The funds cover up to 15 per cent of eligible project costs, with the recipient company funding the remainder from its own resources.
